Rule 8.5 (a)

Any goal scored on a play where an attacking player initiates contact with the goaltender will be disallowed, regardless of whether the contact occurs inside or outside of the goal crease. The only exception to this is where the attacking player is fouled by a defending player and, as a result, is unable to avoid contact with the goaltender.

If that's the case, there have been plenty of goalie interference and the goal allowed. Particularly, with players running into the goalie.

I'm not upset if refs make bad calls once in awhile in the fast paced play of the game.

But ffs when they actually get minutes to replay it over and over themselves and STILL get it horribly wrong?  Unforgivable. I have no idea what Shorty was talking about some other angle. Binnington actually pushed his skate into Garland's. And moved outside the crease. How in any way could that have been goalie interference?

Lucky there's a silver lining to us losing.

It doesn't matter, the Leafs are winning the cup. Right?

Yup. The Leafs got ROR. Closest current player to the great Dave Keon. The stars are aligning for a Leaf Cup this spring. If they get the modern day Horton, Schenn, it’s a guaranteed Cup.
