Weber becomes available at around the same time Kesler returns. It's his line to gain. He has three choices.

Regain 2C position against Umberger,
Regain 3C position against Lapierre,
Try to position against Doan, Booth or Burrows.

The Canucks hold the cards. Find your way in or dive your way out. Nashville would love to have a Kesler type.

The Canucks then have a choice to go with either:

How's never never land bro? Always wanted to visit

Not 100% against trading kesler, because he has had major injury issues the past two seasons and hasn't contributed like his 41 goal season, nor do I see him returning to that form because his style of play accumulates a lot of wear and tear, so his elite play won't continue too long, and he isn't a playmaker neither, BUT what u said is a joke I'm hoping, and I'm also hoping to visit never never land, seems cool

If we ever trade kesler before his injuries/style of play catch up with him, I at least expect back a Legit top 6 forward and a great prospect

Roberto Luongo Doubles Up; Almost Confirms He’s Been Traded to the Florida Panthers

Vancouver Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo came in to Day 4 with just 1/3 of an average stack but a double-up early in the level has him back in the game. Luongo moved all-in from middle position after the player to his right raised to 11,000. Luongo’s opponent called the additional 70,000 and turned over 7 7. Luongo was racing with A Q. The Q T 5 flop brought instant relief for Luongo and the 2 turn and Q river were safe cards for the Olympic gold medal winner. After the hand Luongo was sitting on a stack of 173,000.

Hockey fans in Vancouver have been eating up the coverage of their star goalie, Roberto Luongo, as he plays in his first WSOP Main Event. He might not be their goalie for much longer though, if you read between the lines of a conversation Luongo had with another player at his table, Kamran Siddiqui.

“You played for my hometown team,” said Siddiqui, who is from Miami.

“Who’s that?” asked Luongo.

“The Florida Panthers,” answered Siddiqui.

“Oh yeah, I might be going back there,” said Luongo, while smiling.

“Yeah?” asked Siddiqui.

“Might be,” replied Luongo.

Shortly after the bubble burst Luongo was eliminated. He finished 634th for $19,227.

If not knowing where he is playing hockey next year is beginning to stress Roberto Luongo, he isn’t showing it.

After finishing in the money at the World Series of Poker, Luongo, via his twitter account, quipped:
“This Dwight Howard trade speculation is really starting to annoy the crap out of me.”

Funny. Much like Howard, there is no end in sight to Luongo prattle. He even created “news” with a joke in Las Vegas. While making small talk at a table, he told someone from the Sunshine state he just “might” be going to Florida. A headline from a notable, big sports network soon followed:

“Luongo admits he ‘might be’ a Panther soon.”

Maybe that’s one of Luongo’s problems. His jokes often buzz right over people’s heads.

But Florida hasn’t been the most interested team recently involved in trade talks with the Canucks. It’s been the Chicago Blackhawks, who have been mulling over the idea and have had conversations with Vancouver.

They even reportedly dangled one of Vancouver’s arch-enemies, Dave Bolland, to the crew over at Rogers Arena. Now, that would take some getting used to, both for fans and players.
Bolland in the same locker-room as the Sedins? You could probably put their first handshake on PPV. Luongo with Patrick Kane? File it under ‘we’d have to see it to believe it’.

Not sure Bolland's JFC's would go over too well with Booth, Hamhuis, Malhotra & Doan (if Shane were to sign here).

Kassian.... Taylor Pyatt 3.0

Lies. He's more of a Steve Bernier. Hopefully his talent level goes up so he can become like a Taylor Pyatt.

Luongo's value to Hawks > Bolland's value to us

Depends on what else would be offered. I agree that Bolland alone wouldn't be enough, but with someone like Stalberg, Shaw or Smith it might be.

Bolland is just what the Canucks need right now, a true 3rd line center who can fill in on the 2nd line until Kesler is ready.
Orland Kurtenbach and Dennis Kearns had just been torched 8-1 by the Habs, but they still took time to come out to meet us, some fellow BC boys who were playing hockey in Montreal. THAT"S what being a Canuck is!

I'm sure Howson would be intrigued by acquiring 2 first round picks and a rising
star in Cory, but for some reason i think he would want more in a trade for Nash.

These Luongo to Chicago rumours are absolutely ludicrous and laughable. Chicago doesn't need goaltending. They have Crawford who'll likely bounce back from a disappointing season. And don't they have Emery signed as well.

Chicago ain't getting Luongo. Their fans hate him and Canucks aren't trading to a conference rival. Time to put an end to this stupid rumours.

Chicago's goaltending is a lot worse than what you are making it out to be, Crawford is not the elite or even great goalie Chicago needs to win the cup again.

Didn't need to be either with the ridiculously stacked set of 18 skaters in front of him.

Crawford doesn't have the same luxury.

I'm sure the Hawks would want a goalie like Luongo but a trade between bitter rivals seems far-fetched at best.

Sedins will be like...."Welcome to the big club..."

Daniel: "If you want to stick around with us...Here is your first drill Dave... Your time to shine!"

Then Henrik passes a towel to Dave and down he goes quietly with the dirty work.

over the last 2 seasons:

crawford: 114gp 63w 35l 13otl 2.51gaa 0.910sv% 4so

worse, but certainly not drastically so. and even more interesting are niemi's numbers from the year he won the cup playing behind a stacked team:

I think it's all but a guarantee that he's going to Florida. Even Luongo sounds like he knows it based on his little comment at the poker tournament.

And the best thing is, we probably used Toronto and Chicago as leverage.

Although I've got a feeling a Luongo to Florida trade is waiting on Shane Doan signing or not though. If he gets traded there, I think there's a good chance Doan is signing here. Basically because if we don't get Doan, we're still in need of a top 6 forward, and I don't see Florida being as good of an option for that as Toronto. If we're trading with Florida, it's likely for prospects and picks.

What makes you say that? Wild speculation? or do you have some structured logic that makes you say something so definitive?
