nux4lyfe
So some idiot keeps prank calling me with a private number, It's really starting to annoy me, I would just not pick up a private number but because of my business I don't want to miss calls of my clients...At first I thought it was a few drunk friends but now it's to the point where it's just immature and annoying..worst of all is that they know my name too..I wish I could find who the loser is and beat the living stuffing out of them. I tried to do a google search and it seems that your phone provider won't give out any info on the private number nor can they block incoming calls, so does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to change my number cause I've had it for so long, thanks.

Master Mind
Either that ^^ or call the police. I don't know if they will do much about it but it is illegal to harass someone so they should help you.
TACIC
Can't let it get to you, keep calm and think of a reasonable plan of action to decide what to do
I♥Wellwood
My sister had this issue and it came to the point where they were calling every night. She called the cops (obviously not the emergency line). The officer helped to track down who the person was and gave the guy a talking to. He never called again. Rypien37
Just *69 the number and it will call it back, regardless if blocked call. Then once you have the number, put about 10 craigslist ads for free stuff with the number. The caller will receive hundreds of calls daily, good revenge . hockeyville88
Does *69 still work? Boy that got me in a lot of trouble when I was a kid and used to make prank calls

Mainly Mattias
isn't there a 'this number does not accept calls from blocked numbers' option or is that with the cell phone only?
Kamero89
Call the police. A case could easily be made, it is costing you, and maybe others (assuming they are just not calling you) money. You'll be doing a justice if you do, and possibly save dozens of others a lot of grief.

VancouverCanucksRock
Call the Operator(if they still exist) and make a complaint against the last number that called your line.
KFBR392
*69 doesn't work on blocked numbers.. What's the point of having a private number if anyone could find out the number after you called? Unless that's changed recently, it doesn't work. This might be overkill, but *57 is a call trace feature. Regardless of whether its a blocked number, the number is logged through your provider and can be obtained by police request only. If the harassment is bad enough this could help. Rypien37
*69 does work, it just costs money every time you use it. What other time would you need it besides a blocked/private number? If the number wasn't blocked, you wouldn't need to find out the number calling would you?
