DeNiro Posted January 28, 2013 Share Posted January 28, 2013 With the personnel we have, there's no way we shouldn't consistently be one of the top powerplays in the league. There's absolutely no excuse to go 0/7 in a game. If Newell Brown can't figure this thing out, he needs to go. Losing Ehrhoff, Salo, and Kesler sucks for our powerplay, but we still have Edler and Garrison who have bombs from the point. And Burrows and Kassian are more than capable of standing in front of the net. We lost the game tonight because of special teams. Clowe handed us that game on a silver platter, and we couldn't capitalize. So it basically allowed them to continue taking liberties with us (the Thornton elbow to Burrows). If we can't keep other teams honest with a deadly powerplay, expect our star players to get run alot more. Maybe even suffer serious injuries and be out for the season. Hit the post a couple times on the PP tonight and whats his nutz made an unreal save on Sedin (who didn't get the puck up into the empty top half I might add). Chillax. Was a weird game all around.
