@FredPoulin98:

The #Coyotes are now into sell-mode, and players like Boyd Gordon, Raffi Torres, Rotislav Klesla & Derek Morris are currently on the market

Torres anyone?

Torres is not the same player anymore. Not the guy who took out Seabrook, Murray and Thornton.

torres please. Despite Hansens success with Raymond, I think the lappiere Hansen Torres line was one of our best grind lines in history. Cause all they do, is one thing. Hit the living crap and make defencemens look over their shoulder more often.

Players Nikolaj Ehlers have been compared too by the fan base of the Vancouver Canucks.

wonder if Shane Doan is pissed. Ownership situation nowhere near resolution, was promised something by the management but didn't deliver. If I remember correctly, Doan's 2nd preferred destination was Vancouver

We would have to trade the Sedins to afford "D-bag Doan" .. no thanks .. Morris would solve our D-corps worries ..

too bad Hansen does not hit the same way since playing with Hodgson, Torres does not play with the same edge, and Lapierre lost some speed... not to mention, Malhotra is out too.

You guys are crazy for wanting Vermette.

We have 14 players signed for next season, already beyond the cap roof. You seriously want a third line center for 3.75m?

Hansen hasn't changed his game. And if he did, it wouldn't be because of Hodgson.

Torres is the same player. He's just laying a little low right now since his suspension. He'll hit in the playoffs.

Lapierre hasn't lost any speed. In fact he looks even faster this season.

"What players need is the right kind of strength and power. That includes learning to understand that leverage and positioning can be just as important as raw strength when it comes to winning battles in the game. It's more about timing and athleticism --and avoiding injury--than it is about how much you can bench press. I don't know how many times I've seen a guy with the physique of a defensive end line up a guy half his size, only to bounce off when he connects. Sure, there is room in the game for big guys who can throw their weight around. But for the most part, players are smart enough to see them coming--and strong enough to protect the puck when they arrive. There are trainers out there who know how to devlop hockey-specific strength--though a trainer can help only if a player follows the program. All too often, I've seen players sign up with the best trainer, but not show up for their workouts and never to reap the benefits."

I'd like Boyd Gordon and/or Derek Morris. Pretty good defensive depth down the middle and on the blue line for pretty cheap right there. As much as I loved what Raffi brought while he was here, I don't know about him.

Vermette would be a perfect fit, not sure if the coyotes would trade him he has 2 years left after this season at 3.75 million which is pretty reasonable.

The Canucks should be all over him if he's available he's a 60% face-off guy this year(Canucks could use the help), playing over 18 mins per game, he hits(46) and has a good two way game. At 30 years old he fits our team

He could play with Hansen and Raymond or Higgins and Kassian. Hansen and Raymond have played great together and they should stay together.

Dude, he's just shy of 4 million. Assuming the Canucks buyout Booth or Ballard over the summer, that barely covers Vermette's cost, and still leaves the Canucks in a very bad salary position next season. Vermette would be a great addition if he were a UFA, or if the salary cap weren't tumbling next year

But how can he make any sense with his contract? Canucks already need to offload big salary for next year. Can they really afford a 3.75 third liner? Nope.

they already have an overpriced 3rd pairing dman and an overpriced 2nd line winger. The contract is worth it for Vermette he has been a proven commodity
