Gustavo Fring
Feaster got fleeced... The fact it wasn't a first rounder with no conditionals makes this trade look meh. Iginla is worth more.

Tangelos
Why not? Its not like the trade will make Calgary a contender this year. Iggy is a rental player. Calgary would be stupid to not agree to the trade you propose.
BertuzziJr 2.0
Not great value it seems. What would the Canuck equivalent be to this trade?
Sapper
Once a player who has a NTC goes public with the list of teams they will accept a move to - the home team really has lost a great deal of any bargaining power. Boston would have known that if Calgary turned down the trade they would get nothing and if Iggy moves in the off season then they loose him with zero return. I am no fan of Feaster but don't see how he could have done much better given the very restrictive boundries he had to work in - An extremly short list of teams and a very short period of time to get it done. The conditional first would be considered a fair price if this was the off season and the Bruins wanted early access to try to work out a deal and this is basically what this deal is - 2 decent prospects for the short term rental of iggy and a conditional first if they sign him ... oldnews
Feaster's made something conditional as well. Conditional upon not announcing this deal until tomorrow. (May not be safe inside the building).

wallstreetamigo
How so? We've been a game away from the cup, back to back presidents trophies, 5+ straight division titles, etc. I get we haven't gone all the way but to mention our management in the same breath as the jokers they have running the flames is completely ludicrous. LionofJudah
From your description, that means fans will continue to pay exorbitant money to watch a team that literally does nothing to improve its club. Take out the 2004 Cinderella year and you have nothing but season after season of mediocre hockey stretching all the way back to 1989. Fans should stick by their team, but at the same time, they should voice their displeasure with the piss poor management the Flames have had for nearly a quarter century. Truly disgusting. Even Edmonton has been better.
Steve Carell
So what's the condition? Do they get a 2nd round pick (instead of a 1st) if he doesn't resign in Boston?
