Wow ok bud, you don't have to be a dick about it. I'm just suggesting it. Why wouldn't it work in your opinion?

Not that your were the first to suggest it (nor were you the first to get shot down for doing so). The reasons are and have been out there.

You don't take a team that has been in the elite of the league and hand the coaching reins over to a former player with absolutely no coaching experience. Even with Colorado hiring Roy, he'd been coaching the Quebec Ramparts for years to learn what it takes as a coach rather than a player.

And actually I am a very good gm in nhl 13, so take that!

Well, when that starts to pay you a 6 or 7 figure salary (heck, even a 4 or 5 figure one), we can talk about your real life GM career.

I think Ron Wilson would be a good choice for head coach of the canucks. He has alot of experience as HC and did a great job coaching team USA in the 2010 olympics in vancouver which included ryan kesler playing at the top of his game.

I doubt he even gets mentioned once but Ron wilson has a good background in coaching and would be a good fit for the canucks

You have got to be kidding, Ron Wilson is a horrible coach. I wouldn't mind Guy Boucher because it does seem we lack motivation at times, but Tippett is still the no 1 candidate IMO.

Um, I've been stuck here in Toronto for last few years and I can tell you that Ron Wilson is absolutely TERRIBLE as a coach. When he was with the Leafs, their special teams consistently ranked in the bottom on the league. Singlehandedly almost destroyed Nazim Kadri's career.

In contrast, Randy Carlyle had pretty much the exact same roster to work with and actually got the Leafs to the playoffs and made Kadri look like the highly-touted prospect he was supposed to be.

MIke gillis is waiting for heads to roll. Probably waiting to see which one of the active coaches (currently still in the playoffs) might step down or get fired. Recent rumors had Babcock and Management getting into a fight. Who knows. Maybe Joel Quennville might quit? Or Tibbet is not brought in again? He's going to take his time with this decision.
