Langdon Algur
I'd be ok with Nicholson or Linden as president, not sure about GM. Why not try Gillman as an acting GM for a bit.
Rollieo Del Fuego
This guy sounds like the complete package. Wonder if the Ducks would even allow a divisional opponent to talk to him? It's pretty much standard procedure to let other teams talk to potential GM's from other teams that already have a GM once the season ends. GB5
Benning for GM. Naslund can mentor under him as his assistant.
chrisbanks
i thik brad treliving would be awesome think about all the MR lube and Boston pizza give aways that would go down at the canucks games and his dad does live in Vancouver. Brad treliving has been vice pres of hockey ops and assistant GM for the coyotes for a while now. i want treliving or tambellini!
aGENT
Benning for GM. Naslund can mentor under him as his assistant. If Naslund is in fact involved I hope it's in a scenario like that. Learn to walk before he runs (the team).
Rollieo Del Fuego
Why not Quinn? He'll be sitting in the ring of honour anyways. I just noticed that on the Canucks homepage Quin's face appears on the left hand side in the sidebar on my Mac (the page doesn't fit the screen very well so not sure if this shows up for everyone). I don't remember that being there before, maybe they are trying to introduce him sublimely without us knowing it.
CowtownCanuck
I keep hearing Naslund Naslund's retirement speech was 5 minutes about how at every turn he wanted to go back to Sweden. He's the Manager of Modo, why would he want to leave?
KSniper88
we need to look for a skilled agm not a former player like naslund that has not done well in modo, Benning is the man

KSniper88
Benning or Rob Blake or Shanahan or Hextall
Lui's Knob
Sounds like Nicholson and naslund is coming onboard in some capacity an it's down to shanahan (worked with linden in NHLPA), benning (former Canuck and part of Boston org), and another unknown
Ben Kenobi
No to Naslund, I don't want him anywhere near as GM. Bunning or McNab - if Anaheim even lets us anywhere near McNab.
Lonny_Bohonos_14
It's pretty much standard procedure to let other teams talk to potential GM's from other teams that already have a GM once the season ends. I know that, but to a divisional opponent? I do believe there are instances of teams refusing other teams talking to their management, even in promotional situations. Yes, let's hire someone as our GM because he gives away crappy Boston pizzas, or better yet, that loser tambellini who picked 1st overall 3 times in a row. RUPERTKBD
Why not Quinn? He'll be sitting in the ring of honour anyways. People criticize Gillis for not re-signing Raffi Torres, but Pat Quinn was the guy who scared Wayne Gretzky off by waking him up at 3:00 am and telling him to sign a contract or it was "off the table". ROH is fine by me, but as far as the team's GM position is concerned, Pat Quinn can stay retired.

RWMc1
Will the new GM ask players to waive NTCs. That is a big question that needs to be answered. That may have been Gillis' downfall. We need to change the team up but are somewhat handcuffed by NTCs. I am a little leary of Naslund simply because he never wanted to play a 200 ft game. So my worry is that he will acquire players for skill and not for the defensive aspect of their game. We need everyone on the same page from top to bottom. sirwilliam
I think Gilman is a no brainer. Cap compliance is a big deal in building a competitive team. He's had success in Phoenix and now here. I think he's underrated and should be given first preference.
