The King's GM, Dean Lombardi even gave Hextall recognition on the major role he had regarding Kings management to pull off the moves to acquire both Richards and Carter from Philly and Scuderi from the Penguins; turned quite good for the Kings because they ended up winning the Stanley Cup that year (2012) and the deals helped emphasize the "physical brand of hockey" that the Kings continue to advertise to the rest of the NHL. You can say whatever you want about him, but one thing for certain is that he's not afraid to voice his opinion and he's ballsy unlike Gillis.
