30th place but still manage to draft 3rd overall ( nuck luck)

wD fired prior to Christmas

benning fired at the end of the season

League worst pp

league worst face off

league worst goal for

league worst goal differential

franchise record lowest attendance

At some point before getting fired benning trades next years 2nd and fifth for other teams failed  projects.

for the record my prediction for 15/16 season was pretty close :

Overall standing 25th. Bad news

Top 5 pick . Good news

Benning learns you need goals to win not character. Good news

malhotra really fixed the face off woes

no one could have predicted Colorado being as bad as they were.

Willie should have been fired at Christmas after yet another 9 game losing skid.

the Larsen lesson seems to have had the desired effect. No picks for other teams throw always or projects.....yet.

jumped the gun on benning ...that's next spring.

Nucks Would have been 30th if wasn't for miller.

Bottom 5 by season end.   Rodins injury will take much longer then expected for him to be a serviceable player.

Sedins will be over used and sustain injurys.

This will be coach willys last season as a coach , and will be the goat for Linden/Benning mistakes.

Tickets will sell for dirt cheap but still not fill the arena, unless its big ticket teams.

Rumours of the franchise being shopped will build over the course of the season.

Endless supply of meaningless jargon from the management for the full season.

Miller resigned for one more year on the cheap.

Horvat improves

Gudbransons toughness shows, but overall team toughness stands out more.

Lack of scoring depth is the be all end all.

Oh and I will remind us as to why Konecny should have been picked instead of boeser as he steadily accumulates points in 2016 and beyond. lol

The cracks in management become to much for ownership and they begin to fall.  Coaching staff is first to go.  If a quality G.M. becomes available near season end Benning is dumped or demoted

Pretty dang close , just wish I was right about the management

1. Canucks miss the playoffs and finish near the bottom of the West(unless they have a very high PDO)

2. Willie D gets fired at some point during the season or shorty after the season ends

3. Jordan Subban gets traded at some point between now and the 2017 NHL Draft

I still think there is a chance Subban gets traded during the entry draft.

No way I'd choose Konecky over Boeser. Not in a million years.

I predict we will miss the playoffs in 2017 -2018 season in the rebuild.. So around 70 points, drafting 5th in a 2018 deep draft..

Will see some exciting young players, hard working team..

1. Brock Boeser 20 goals 37 points - 2. Goldobin speedy, exciting 15 goals -  33 points both Rookies..

1.Bo (age 22) - 25 goals - 65 points..2. Baertschi  (age 24)-- 22 goals-48 points ...3. Grandlund (age 24)-- 20 goals--- 39

H.Sedin (age 37) 15 goals -- 46 points   -- D Sedin (age 37) 18 goals -- 39 points

Defence

1.Tanev, 2.Hutton, 3.Stretcher, 4.Gudbranson 6'5, toughness,  5.Edler, 6.Tryamkin 6'7, 7. Sabisa..

Really like Pedan toughness (23 age) 6'5, ---  Subban (22 age) -- Neil (21age) , ---Brisebois (20) -- Juolevi (19) Europe next season --- Olson (age 20)

Really like Markstrom (27) and Damko (age 21) sign veteran backup in summer..

Markstrom 52 games, ( new backup 30 games)... Demko might see few games with injuries..

Cool beans.

I'd still rather have the guy that instantaneously became our top scorer upon joining the team.

Canucks will finish 12th in the west.  And last in our division based on better overall play by our divisional rivals and near clockwork injuries to our blue line that we don't have the depth to cover

Sooo...How'd I do?

Well it wasn't exactly blueline injuries that made us suck.....it was the fact the we had so many AHL forwards getting decent ice time, who couldn't score or be physical

Man people really underrated Edmonton and Toronto. I see alot of them being bottom feeders before the season started. No idea how you could bet against McJesus and Matthews.

Both retrogress badly next year as both caught teams by surprise and had too many career years from supporting cast.   Toronto has better chance of not going back as far but no way Edmonton gets that type of goaltending again and they will be even weaker on D unless they make a few trades.
