  1. I am not a supporter of any proposal offering up Rathbone. I am still high on him.
  2. I mean, the mere fact alone you didn't even get Tucker Poolman's name right indicates he has no value. This trade is pretty lopsided.
  3. Keep Rathbone. Penguins fans insist that neither Boeser or Garland in any package would be good enough to fetch any D besides Pettersson.
  4. Garland has major potential. I think he'll score at least 30 goals next season. And with Podkolzin coming onto the team as well, that's two new quality young forwards. Very exciting.
  5. Signed into the forum for the first time all year because of this trade. While I'm pleased Eriksson, Beagle, and Roussel are gone, nobody wants to see a first round pick surrendered + absorbing a new albatross contract. I've never been particularly keen on OEL, but Connor Garland is a very, very exciting acquisition. The overwhelming narrative about this draft was it was underwhelming and very difficult to predict, due to the world. So we'll see.
  6. Kassian is and always will be at least 50% clown. Ever since the Tkachuk beatings and the extension he’s been far less of a high-motor and more of same old Kassian. Glad he’s on top of his off-ice demons but what a joker move. And still the Oilers keep re-upping this mediocre crew.
  7. Possibly "Random Rules" by Silver Jews (or something written by Spencer Krug) In 1984 I was hospitalized for approaching perfection Slowly screwing my way across Europe, they had to make a correction Broken and smokin' where the infrared deer plunge in the digital snake I tell you, they make it so you can't shake hands when they make your hands shake I know you like to line dance, everything so democratic and cool But baby there's no guidance when random rules I know that a lot of what I say has been lifted off of men's room walls Maybe I've crossed the wrong rivers and walked down all the wrong halls But nothing can change the fact that we used to share a bed And that's why it scared me so when you turned to me and said: "Yeah, you look like someone Yeah you look like someone who up and left me low Boy, you look like someone I used to know." I know you like to line dance, everything so democratic and cool But lately, there's no guidance when random rules I asked the painter why the roads are colored black He said, "Steve, it's because people leave And no highway will bring them back." So if you don't want me I promise not to linger But before I go I gotta ask you dear about the tan line on your ring finger No one should have two lives Now you know my middle names are wrong and right Honey we've got two lives to give tonight

Oh yes, and a lot of pauses, like hmmm, yeah, oh, yeah.  Then,  - Yeah, Seattle's getting a hockey team?! Yeah, well, I'm totally excited about that!

  9. Search Party, season two: 8/10 Back, season one (the new series starring Mitchell and Webb): 8/10 Baskets, season three: 6.5/10
  10. Seth Jones's shot is coming along nicely.

  11. The Blue Jays seem like a team that is lost at the moment. Donaldson is obviously great, but it was foolish for them to let Encarnacion (who was the heart of the team) go but keep Bautista (who is so washed up). Sanchez (if he can avoid blisters, apparently) and Stroman are definite 1-2 starters, but everywhere else is lacking. Toronto was build offensive-heavy and for those disaster 10-9 games. They reek of a massive rebuild.
  12. So much for Nilsson being starter-capable.

All true, everyone. He has still allowed 18 goals in his last 4 games. His start to the season seems like ages ago.

That goes for everyone not named Brock Boeser. :)

Have you heard about Jayson Megna tho? His parents threw in the Y in his first name cos they knew people would be asking that question every time he took the ice.

  13. I got a feeling that this Brock Boeser character is a-ok

I'd say he's at least above average

  14. Michael Bisping is and always was a pretender. He was never elite and he was boasting like he was some kind of Hall of Famer. It was hilarious and awesome to watch St Pierre with 25 extra lbs kick his ass.
  15. Holy rollers, I haven't loved a Canucks roster this much in some time.

  16. Sick stuff, Evander.

Good start to his season.  Is this a case of putting in the work in a contract year?

  17. Exterior shots of the show are of the actual city the story is set in. But it is filmed in Calgary.
  18. Fargo is excellent. And yeah, each season is a different era and people. I went to college in Minnesota and the first season was set in the city I lived, so it was very weird to see so many familiar things set around a series of murders.
  19. Tim and Eric's Bedtime Stories, season two. Rating: Five bags of popcorn and walk on the wild side.
