Blegh, having abdominal pain and horrible insomnia. All just in time for the home stretch of my online course and exam coming up in 3 weeks. Not anxiety-inducing at all.

I can not understand how university can use these kids of assessments and weght them so significantly. University assessments would be better off based on project work / group work as that is how the graduates will be assessed in their careers.
Memorizing a university textbook seems like such an archaic and / useless way of learning material....
Assessment should be based on using / applying knowledge.... not memorizing it.

Red Wine - Shiraz and Malbec in the winter - really my winter staple for alcohol
Guiness - a classic year rounder
Gin and Tonic - a summer drink but still decent occassionally in winter.
Vodka Soda's - when i want be healthy
Tequila - when its shots... it gotta be tequila

Debating whether to stay home, watch football, procrastinate and do a workout here (later)....OR, go out in the sunshiney but blustery day and get an outdoor workout in with a beautiful Fall backdrop?
Leaning on the side of "home/lazy" workout because there will be SO many people out there and I am trying to do my part to curb this damn COVID thing. I hate it. But will opt for the more responsible choice in this I guess. Oh bother. -

Trump , Horgan and Dr. B. - all failed to promptly promote the Mandatory safe use of masks. All failed their citizens by not following the most current SCIENCE . We all knew Covid was transmitted airborn... like in May/June... Why the delays to make our worksites safe ? Look where all of North America now is at.

Obviously i would think less of a person that suppors a sociopath like Trump.
Sorry but that is just human nature.
Athletes should shut up about politics and just play their game. Hockey players that played through CDN jr hockey and typically got a terrible education... ( NCAA is obviously different ) . well they . just don't really need to spout off about social issues and politics. Its just silly.

Big relief....negative COVID test result. Had an anxious night last night...glad it's over.

did anyone have trick or treaters on halloween night? i had none. now i have to eat all the candy bars and chips myself.

My friends compared trick or treating for kids... like adults going to a fastfood drive thru...
Welll - drive throughs have covid safety protocol in place - masks / gloves and cleansor...
And most adults dont go through 100 different drive throughs in the same evening.
So this year was a no for me. Hoping 2021 Halloween will be epic though.

Cancelled candy at the door - first time ever we cancelled.
Want to do everything i can do to keep my elderly mom healthy.... . Just not worth opening up my door to strangers. Kids touching all that candy from so many homes ... really doesnt make sense me either.
Hopefully Halloween 2021 is back to normal

Of course I judge people based on who they are friends with.
I totally respect Bobby Orr's amazing hockey achievements. I just don't respect his views on politics.
I can easily differentiate the two areas. Great hockey player. Terrible political views. Simple.
Sidestory - met / saw Bobby one time in Montreal airport.... it was kinda funny. A parent on my hockey team walked up to him and said Hi Bobby... Bobby Orr replied... do i know you ? We were young hockey players at the time ... and we cringed.....
Met Gordie Howe one time done in California in a hotel lobby. Now Gordie Howe was a guy with class..... he was amazing to just talk to . Gordie Howe seemed like such a cool friendly guy.
