Yeah that’s my thought. Assuming we have the assets outside of our young core, I would be all in for him and Panarin. They both perfectly augment our core at 1LW and 1RHD. Players like Madden/Gaudette/Woo/Dipietro plus high picks I would include. Not all obviously just some combo that makes it happen.

Agreed that they are likely our best trade chips. Out of the two I keep Gaudette as I feel he is a lock as our 3rd center for the next 20 years. Madden is likely a W with high upside but easier to find. I would do Madden plus a high 2020 pick for a sub 25 year old RHD. Risto/Trouba/Parayko (Older but still young enough). We need to secure the prime positions on our team and top line RHD is one of them.

In a heartbeat but I am a huge Gaudette fan. Risto is still my prime target along with signing Panarin.

I think they would get a huge defensive boost from this but the values seem in the vicinity. A team getting Marleau only I can’t see him going for higher than a 4th round pick.

I feel if we keep drafting our depth and sign Panarin and Myers as a boost we are in really good shape.

Definitely a risk but only one more year. I think Okposo still has all the tools to be top 6 so we’d get some actual value out of him. Sign Panarin and trade for Okposo and we’re looking good: Panarin Pettersson Boeser Baertschi Horvat Okposo Pearson could also be in Baertschi’s spot which would give that line some more jam.

Between the three I would take: Zegras Newhook Krebs in that order.

I’m all in for Panarin. I would certainly pay Panarin 11 over Skinner at 9. Really hoping we get him for 10 per year.

You’re definitely right as somebody will give him that. Definitely makes it a slightly tougher call.

I think 6 is fine for Myers but for it to make sense it would be better at 4 years. All depends on what somebody will pay but he would be work at 6 over 4 years in my mind. Brings him to 33 at the end of the contact. He is not physical really but the reach, shot and much movement are still valuable in the top 4. We could do worse than Edler at 6 for 3 and Myers at 6 for 4. Decent fallback plan.

I don't think any of us know the true value but there have been rumours that they are willing to move him. If we need to add some more like DiPietro/Lind/Lockwood then we find a way to make it work because that is what we need and his value appears lower than potential at this point. Tryamkin's contract ends in early next year. He's not signed for years. If he doesn't pay out his contract he likely joins at the end of our season.

Yes to Panarin, and obviously keep Boeser. Not sure how this is a discussion as both are obvious keepers. Orca is a great logo for the team. We need to have something stick and it has been around for a long time. Stick in rink is a nice add and I think this becomes our jersey/combo for a long time. Never go away from the blue (Primary) and green colour scheme. That is an Vancouver as it gets and if we don't keep it Seattle will swarm. I am assuming that Seattle will be green (Primary) and blue.

Goldy, Hutton, Granlund, Tanev, Sutter or a 2nd/3rd. They can take their pick of one.

I want both of these players for our team. I’d be willing to add our 2020 first, Tanev, Dipietro + to get them both from Buff/Edm. These should be our primary trade targets. Pool Party should be cheapish to acquire or at least a buy low candidate. He has all the tools wanted for a top 6 winger. That is a bet you take plus a connection with Joulevi can’t hurt.

It’s a good point and we likely want to add one for term and another on a 1-2 year contract like a Marleau so it expires when a winger prospect is ready.

That’s true but then we keep our additional assets as well. Worth it to me.
