  1. Classy and Boston Bruin are two things I don’t think belong together.
  2. eh? Random injuries seem to be an issue with the club going way, way, way back. Before Benning. Before Gillis. Before Nonis. We lost our best defenseman and Captain of the team just before the start of the playoffs due to a freak accident in practice in 1982 (yes, the year we went to the Finals). McCarthy was out for the entire duration of the postseason.
  3. It also fails to mention Burke himself has stated he REALLY tried hard to get the 1st overall pick as well (Thrashers pick). He (Burke) thought pretty highly of Stefan at the time.
  4. That's the tough part dealing with those that are 'up there in years'. They seem to LOVE the humidity / heat. My mother had put on a heavy sweater in Vegas in the middle of summer because the air-con was cranked-up too high for her tastes.
  5. Also one should note, don't fall for the sales pitch from those peddling "swamp coolers":
  6. I’ve been told I seem to operate a few cards short of a full deck. Whatever that means…
  7. From what little I know (and like most things, I know very little lol), portable air cons lose much of their effectiveness if not connected to a window via a hose to exchange the air. I was dreaming of Cheryl Tiegs in Physics class so I missed out on the scientific explanation.
  8. Not sure what your statement has to do with what I wrote. Team is required to offer him a qualifying offer of north of 7 million. He'll of course sign that. Brock ain't going to strike out the 7+ & write down less than that. It's not just his agent who has to deal with but the players union as well (remember when Kesler opened his yap about Burrows should be offering the team a discount, the players union got to Kesler to stop that talk).
  9. Boeser has zero reason to sign for 6.25 million when his qualifying offer is just over 7 million. He also has arbitration rights.
  10. Problem is, most want to live in a significantly smaller area of the country.
  11. He didn't actually invent anything to my knowledge. "Elite level" promotion skills though. Unless I'm mistaken, he was born into a rather financially well-off family. Granted you turned that afluent status into uber rich status.
  12. Thing is, look into his history. Elon has ALWAYS been anti-union. anti-worker health & safety legislation. A libertarian. Libertarians have never been left leaning nor "liberal". He's confusing the term imho (either unintentionally or intentionally).
  13. “If a man is not a Socialist at 20 be has no heart, but if he remains one at 30 he has no head.” This quote (rather something similiar to it) has been attributed to Winston Churchill (though there isn't any source to prove this).
  14. Because he requires an actual legitimate checking center on his line (as he's, Dickinson, is awful at being a center). Without that, he'll (Dickinson) never be put into a position to succeed. He's a solid defensive bottom six winger provided that line actually has that center. Sutter used to be a solid defensive C but COVID (and the accumulation of injuries over the years) made him shadow of what he used to be.
  15. I never mentioned those other entities. Your argument (whether it has any validity or not it not for me to say) is weakened by mentioning Poutine & Dotard (for the reasons I just gave). Now if Poutine had his own official account....(course, despots like that tend to have lackey's do the dirty work for them).
  16. meh. If Poutine doesn't have an official Twitter account, what is there exactly to ban? Dotard had his "official" twitter account which was banned. So your point is what exactly? OT: anybody remember this old game?
  17. Father time & COVID did him in. Happens to all athletes eventually (re: Father time part). No shame in that. He had a bit of a rough start (one can excuse that as he was playing for a new team/coach/system, etc.) but played quite well for the role he was given (defensive center). Injuries just caught up with him.
  18. Probably because of this: https://factcheck.thedispatch.com/p/fact-check-is-putin-still-on-twitter?s=r
