Ran a 5k in 24:24 a few weeks ago! Haven't run much since bc the weather has been crappy and I seem to be fighting some sort of chest thing (makes the breathing a little tough). Starting to feel better - gonna hit up F45 regularly to get the cardio back up and start running more regularly again. I have another half in Sept so I need to stay on top of things:)

@BoKnows @bishopshodan How's the running coming along? I'm loving the goals you're setting for yourselves. I just finished a half this morning. Been training for it since Feb, but I was derailed for 3 weeks in April with Covid. My goal was to run a sub 2 hour and I ended up at 1:52:09 so I'm very happy with that. Next on the agenda is a sub 25 minute 5k and sub 50 minute 10k.

I think the goal should have stood. I’m also willing to bet that at least 90% of the posters that answered “yes” to the poll would be singing a different tune if the call had gone against the Canucks.

No way to that contract for Domi. He had one good season 3 years ago (I guess his rookie year was pretty good too). Signing him until he is 34 at north of 6 million would be a huge mistake. We're already going to be regretting the OEL contract in like 2 years, having $14 million tied up in bad contracts would be a killer. I'd prefer to keep Bo, but I get moving him if the value is there. Same with Boeser.

I have a hard time seeing this team competing with OEL, Myers and Dickenson taking up almost $16 million in cap space. Not that they aren't good players, but the value just isn't there at that price. Benning screwed this team over with bad contracts, and we're tied to OEL for another, what 5 years? Le sigh.

Maybe you and me should come out of retirement?

That sounds about right for this forum. Not sure how long you've been around for but this is very par for the course here.

Just finished doing a cut. Basically I eliminated processed sugars (no snacking!) and watched my macros. I did lose some muscle mass but I’m down to 13.5% body fat. I haven’t been this lean since college (I’m 49, btw)! Feeling really good today. The goal is to maintain over the holidays and then look to add muscle in the new year.

If you are going to whine, at least do it properly. I'm just busting your balls.

For the record, McKinnon didn't take a team friendly deal. In his first three seasons he put up 63, 38 and 52 points so signing a deal with a $6.3 million AAV was kinda right in line with where everyone figured he was at. McKinnon's real mistake, imo, was not signing a bridge deal. If he had done a 3 year deal his next contract would have been massive after the seasons he put together.

That's fair. In my defense I'm cranky bc I'm in my THIRD isolation due to close contact this year... and the second one this month.

Yay? I guess? Comparing the populations Israel has administered more than 1 dose per person (on average), while Canada has (on average) administered doses to less than 30% of its population. I suppose that's better than nothing, but I'm getting really tired of the incompetence shown at both the provincial and federal levels during this pandemic. On a more positive note, I'm booked for my first shot next Thursday - the first day I'm out of isolation due to a close contact.
