  1. Left up to me, I'd take Marchand and stuff him in there, that's where rats belong don't they?
  2. Yeah I get the possible affiliation thing, maybe I could put a a "go before and after the Logo" So it's more like a cheer of go Canucks go! Idk something like that? I'm up in prince George so probably another cpl of weeks or so before it's warm enough to paint and a cpl of clear days of course
  3. Hi, I'm looking for idea's on what Canucks logo and size for my work truck, I need room on the side for my business as well. "Delivery & Rubbish Hauling" and ph number then the Logo in there somewhere. The front area is getting a wind deflector but the rear door area available is 4'x4' Yes I can paint if it's reasonably easy, I painted the box. Anyway looking for idea's folks, share em if you got em please!
  4. What is the discussion here about? Nitpicking about a detail in a point about size and "I" have panties in a knot??? You keep thinking that then lmao! How many ex Canucks are that big and tough lately? He's our "Canuck" example next to Donald brash.. or Gino.. whatever lol back to the point, IF we don't get bigger we're never going to get a cup. The playoffs are simply another tier up and the teams that have the size grinds the other down and Mr baggins, how many times have "we" seen that?
  5. I don't know, OV looks pretty fast out there and he's about that size and he can outskate the average nhl'er.. and run them over when he chooses.
  6. No shi_ captain obvious, it was an example of what we need... He would have been back already if it was possible..
  7. What? Your saying bigger men can't skate well? Just clarifying..
  8. We need Tryamkin back and 2 others Like him but at least 6'2-6"4 230 ish tough decent skating and a good shot and we make a hard playoff run next year but I've been on about it for years as we painfully know what the post season will turn into and as we stand, it seems like softer teams we've had in the past this roster is a copy of that. (SADLY!)
  9. Well it's a toss up between that bunch opposed to Garrett Shorty and Smurf.. I'm really not sure which is worse and there have been discussions about it but it's 50/50 I think.. or 60-40 in favour of the ultimate goofy twit Garrett, omfg he is soooo bad but both are bush league and that's what we're stuck with. I usually just have it on mute most of the time
  10. With Miller, I see where your getting at but yeah if his contract would have been for longer and he was a couple years younger that would have been ideal however in another way that your not thinking about is his impact on the team every night as he displays what a pro does every night even if he doesn't score, and even if he is traded, what that did was set an example of "hustle" and no nights off, Garland can be added to that but JT wins that one because of his added leadership but it's close but JT has raised a standard that only Hughes and Demko meet on a nightly basis so there's that as a big win in JB's favour that people didn't see coming. The biggest win was a first pick, anyone after 3rd overall has a 50-50 chance on down of making it to be a NHL regular and since when do we ever get top 3??? Lmao! Anyway I think it now has to do with them talking JT into staying for the next 4-5 seasons while he's still close to his prime and he's just got to his prime now, if he gets the puck on his stick he almost expects to be able to score and that's the pinnacle of confidence. So management better get some serious ***t done in the off-season and make him WANT to stay thinking he has a shot for a ring with us.
  11. Sounds like Luongo.. got run out of town because he wasn't perfect every night when we pretty much needed it because of Tanev or Edler, Salo out injured then we had no depth to step in or the skill to just simply move everyone up and fill in a 3rd pairing spot so a lot of the time when it happened it turned into a shooting gallery, much like it was THIS year and Luongo couldn't do it all himself every night when it got bad but I'm sure you remember that...
  12. What a moron, those of us who already knew it was a team just put together with new players and it would take time to get it rolling that's who. Does Aquaman actually think we're all clueless as him? Yikes!
  13. I wouldn't go that far, sometimes it's all in the coaching and we have Bruce so pretty sure he'll be at his best and when we see that then we can make a judgement to keep it flip him..
  14. I didn't even start watching the game until the start of the second and expected a blood bath after a typical start BUT was wow'd to see the score tied 0-0 when I turned it on, I thought at least 4-0 by the end of the first. Anyway, although we almost gave it away again we managed to luck out with Halak keeping the puck out.. Still kinda shocked but happy!
  15. Thanks, I guess I've been really frustrated by management and fans alike, mostly JB who had good and bad points but at least he did his best to try and fill seats around building for the future but knowing he had contracts that he couldn't have unloaded but he did a valiant effort BUT left before the holes could be filled by trades or developed guy in the farm and now all I can do is again, hope JR just does what he needs to do and not let the fans or media affect his decisions unlike any GM we've ever had. Even Burke commented on have to fight against the pressure of win it all now without actually have the depth to pull it off and if JR does the same thing... Ugh I don't even want to think about what will happen if the same ole stays in place and we have yet another soft team that gets destroyed eventually due to injuries in the playoffs. Yeah it's fun to watch in the season BUT it's not worth the heartache of watching your team get beaten on and sent packing, over and over and over. Other than that I'm glad we have a new management team who is seeing what JB was trying to do and finish the build properly so we finally have a elite team that's a serious contender every year, not just a one trick pony. Will it happen? Who knows but I'll believe it when I see it..
  16. If I'm tracking with you and I hope I'am, been a long tiring day but simplicity speaking it was better to get something was better than nothing but Garland made Motte redundant I suppose and we're going to need every penny of cap we can get soon but again it wasn't a horrible move but a package move like I've said before would have bought us a bit more bang in return but I'll somewhat agree with you for sure. Letting guys go for nothing is hard to swallow but on the other hand if no one wants your guy then your at the mercy of the buyer and who knows if that was the case or not. Allvin never clarified anything much about interest in anyone really, was vague about it. Anyway, this will make for a pretty interesting off-season no matter what..
  17. Yeah nothing new under the sun in Vancouver, sadly it's been going on since the 74, but doesn't really matter if we don't. We'll sell the farm for a roster with next to no depth. Fans won't stand for building a team, we want it all NOW!!! Screw the future for one shot, why not? We have had more cups than we know what to do with! SMH sadly at the sea of sarcasm. What fun, great seasonal team and looks great until things get rough in the playoffs and down we go to injuries and no depth to fall back on. Ho hum, more of the same.
  18. Oh I already had thought that out, to answer your question though, I would have liked to see him packaged with someone else as a deal sweeter and shed cap or even out for a top 4 RHD prospect. Something to that affect or at least a 3rd and if a team didn't have a 3rd then at least something else coming back with salary retained by whoever, kind of like OEL and Garland (ish) I think you know what mean. Personally I would have tried to make a deal with the sens including him in the Hamonic deal. Something like that, worse case scenario a 3rd or a prospect. A 4th in my op was just under his value since he has other things that some regular players just doesn't don't have so another case of a player's extra intangibles. Much like Myers and his height and reach advantage.. So that my reasoning, Motte has a lot going for him, he can PK and read plays well, skates well, shoots well and has a great drive most of all.
  19. I don't know what to say, seldom do I see someone with that much insight into the obvious state of the franchise that so many miss for whatever reason, personally if I would have been JB and offered the Vancouver cunuck GM job, I would have said "F off!" NO! As you pointed out, it's been sell the farm for a no depth roster and folks wonder why we have no cup... However it seems to me that management wants to actually build a team with depth, personally I'll believe it when I see and not before. So pretty sceptical here but that's only the first step, if we don't get bigger physically as a team then (as usual) we won't get far. We all know hockey is a different game in the playoffs where teams will do pretty much anything to win and if it means musculing us out of the rink, again (as usual) same result. Anyway good observation s sir! Glad there's people paying attention to the big picture.
  20. No _hit!!! I just watched that clip and that's something only guys like OV and McD can pull off, put that boy on a line with Miller and Garland.. THAT would be something! Miller taking Klim under his wing so to speak, that would be.. ok so I'm dreaming BUT dare to dream right?
  21. Yeah just like I said after JB was fired, back to the same ole chit but different day.. ermm.. year. Letting Motte go was bad enough BUT for a 4th round? Ugh! We actually need to find someone with his drive exactly but bigger, if Hughes, Garland, Hogs were 6' and over than we'd be a much better team but their not and we have toughen up to balance it out. The only way PA and JR come out of this unscathed is by picking up a replacement that's all Motte in a bigger package, if not it's a huge fail, bigger than it already is. All I can say is if the management doesn't do something drastic in the off season, lots more of the same. P.S. after watching/radio listening since 74, being a Canucks fan after all these years is getting epically tiring!!
  22. Celebrate what exactly? That out D sucks so bad that non super human Demko's can't keep the puck out of the net when handed the puck on a silver platter by our guys? Really?
  23. He's been giving up on plays too early defensively as well.. have no idea what's up with him, he can drive the play and be all over the ice like we've seen out of him before this season so I'm at a loss... Disappointing to see for that much $
