  1. Well you know how we are, we'll probably get him to trade and end up with a 5'5 160 lb Dman with our luck..
  2. He's been giving up on plays too early defensively as well.. have no idea what's up with him, he can drive the play and be all over the ice like we've seen out of him before this season so I'm at a loss... Disappointing to see for that much $
  3. Well either way, in our own end we need to stop hesitating and stick handling when an obvious target is closer instead of trying to find a long lead pass, gives way too much time for opposing forwards to close the gap and break it up and then end up with a shot against us. It's happening way too much, even with Bruce at the helm, I don't know if it's a TG habit of play that's the problem but it has to stop! Much like the power play problem of being too fancy. Keep it simple and quick, no need to overplay simplicity that gets the job done.
  4. And the variants are going to keep coming... So what's going to happen if one comes along that completely resistant to anything we can come up with? We'd be F'd! Why the b.s. over a mask, it's time for "some" folks to grow up, and wake up and smell the coffee! Covid can still get a lot worse especially if it mutates with other serious virus's and strains that could turn this into a worse scenario than we've already seen.
  5. Wow! I just read businesses are getting threat, insults, bullying of all sorts, this shows how utterly stupid some people can be, NEWS FLASH! Covid didn't just up and leave to go on vacation! In fact the new BA.2 variant is in the works now so why the stupity? People have the choice to keep masks mandatory in their stores etc for a reason, we're not even out of the woods yet on the first ones. What IF a new strain turns uber deadly, then people would be whistling a different tune. Some people need to grow the F up and get over themselves, a mask is just an annoyance, get over it already! Whatever happened to respect and dignity anyway? So I'm reaching out to ask this, if your in a business that still requires masks, put yours on or ask for one if you don't have one on you or just go somewhere else, politely. We're canadiens aren't we, supposed have a lot more class than being creepy and nasty to people just trying to stay safe! Wtf?
  6. Well to get anywhere at all against the physically bigger teams then we need to toughen up a "bit", at least some, come post season whenever that comes, this year or next, we know what we'll face, for sure our smaller guys will become obvious targets and skilled guys like Brock, Petey.. Hughes in sure would be as well if not at the top of the list. And I'm sure you know this isn't a new thing with us. Then the depth problem, slowly being solved for a change we hope. Selling the farm never got us a cup in the past and won't in the future so if JR commits to development, then we might have a chance but unless we do toughen up at least, it's going to continue.
  7. Us making the playoffs is looking pretty bleak at this point, unless Vegas keeps losing which they probably will not at some point, we're pretty much screwed because of the rough start to the season. I'm actually not going to be disappointed if we don't because our cup chances are basically zero and if our roster doesn't get beaten up and have injuries trying to get as far as they can, imo isn't the worst thing in the world to happen.
  8. I'm ok with Petey not returning until he's 100% so no further risk to make it worse. Hopefully Petan plays well, Rempal showed pretty well, didn't look out of place at all and nearly scored on Vas last game and his positioning play was as good or better than some others were all game.
  9. It's by an American... And doughnuts to dollars he voted for Rump too! So you know how much creedance to give it. ZERO!
  10. Podz seems to be going the Bo route, remember when he arrived and had to work on his D game and skating? (And the idiot media labeling him a career 3rd line center) Seems to me Podz is in the same boat, has all the offensive too but like Bo, his D game needed to be involved and like you said, now it is. Yeah he'll break out, his confidence is growing and that's about all he needs more of now. Glad we picked him up, could have been a easy 3rd overall pick had he not had to stay in Russian for the 2 years but now it's starting to be seen why he was scouted and signed, great pick! Nowhere to go but up!
  11. Now if we can play another game like against MTL and NOT spot the first period down however many goals and have to fight back in the 2nd and 3rd because if it keeps up we might not have Bruce around. It will give the poor guy a heart attack ffs! Not to mention a number of us fans turning the game on when the 2nd period starts and see how many goals we have to get back to win.
  12. Tiring of this love/hate thing going on with this team, they can either be a really good team or suck so bad BUT the worst is seeing bigger teams walk on us with no pushback, ok so this isn't new but it's getting on my last nerve! Wish it was easier out there to find bigger tougher skilled players, as we need about 3-4 more and I wish one of them was Tryamkin back, I'm sure the Dallas Stars don't ever want to see him again but it was fun to watch a Russian T-34 Tank take to the ice while it lasted but we need more of that if we're ever going to get anywhere.
  13. Wonder if Thatcher is going to stand on his head and say FU to OV
  14. Well imo, as long as we win, he can have his point, I don't care much. However if I were the caps, I'd be leery about JT Miller stepping on the ice, ATM he's our OV.. dude is killing it!
  15. Well imo, as long as we win, he can have his point, I don't care much.
  16. Nope, I bet we do off-season trades unless something crazy good comes along, I don't see us trading much or any at all before TDL probably, which is fine, it's not like we'd get anywhere near a cup run this year anyway.
  17. Yeah what worked in the bubble was an entirely different ball game from what you knew had to come, all the old contracts of the books finally and basically a pretty new team, your right with the line juggling, that was painful because once you have the panic button pressed down with your other finger and not taking it slow and simple... I wish the bubble didn't happen because TG probably wouldn't have been here to start the year... Grrrr! But... Well B.B. proved JB did ok and was at the end of his learning curve and put a decent but unfinished team on the ice and he along with everyone knew it. ALL those from the Gillis era are finally gone so I sure hope JR finishes what JB started and we tough up and depth up out of building or back to the same ole b.s. (again times 40+) years.. this is tiring..
  18. Where were you at the beginning of the year, new players and Hughes and Petey were in negs. Hamonic was out, Green was trying too hard in his search where to put everyone and worse, he tried to run systems that didn't have to be run at all, no one knew what they were supposed to do and where to be, it especially showed on the back end when we were easily pinned in our own zone for most games. Add to that, Petey struggling, so all in all, Green just had to keep things simple until the new players settled in. So it added up to a $&!#e show, had we won half our lost 14 games which would have been 7 more wins than we have no which is another 14 points to where we are now which is a easy playoff spot but you can blame Green but don't lose sight of the shi_tty circumstances either
  19. Wait I thought we got screwed over on that trade? ;). I was laughing and doing the eye roll thing when I saw the media roasting away and their idiot followers believing it all.. JB stole him! Oh look now they can see it, morons! Lmao! And I just read on the hockey writers that they heard on the wire last week that the Canucks are looking for a young Dman!!!!! Wow no $&!#e sherlock! Omfg! Anyway I digress, but it's ironic as F that the media is catching up to old news right down to online bush league media pretending to be like the mainstream bush league media. In the mean time, keep kicking A$$ JT!!!
  20. I would have loved to see the best Habs team against the 80's oilers
  21. Unless we go on some long crazy winning streak, I hope we don't do anything at all and save it for the off-season. However if we don't get bigger without sacrificing too much skill, we're going to get slaughtered as usual, you know the drill, great season with a soft skilled team then it's lights out and we all go home... Especially without depth on the farm to fill in for injuries, it just doesn't get it done because the post is a completely different game. Teams will do anything to win, and if we don't have any pushback, you know where that ends.
  22. I guess you can count all of the teams together but that doesn't add up to much before Bure came along, before him, our team were basically nobody's and hardly won at all. If you put the win/loss/tie scenario after 1993 I think it will show more of a complete pic since we became known when Bure showed up that finally moved us forward.
