  1. Currently, a .607 point percentage is the playoff line. We're at .484, so we'd need to win about the next 10 games straight to have that point percentage. We're not as close to the playoff line as many are making it out to be.

That said, as Gabby has said many times, it's about being consistent over the long haul. Don't worry about winning 10 straight, worry about winning 2 out of the next 3 games and keeping that going.

Mhmm. Thing is we won't win forever, no team does. We'd basically have to play at a level on par with some of our best seasons ever to make it.

This team has yet to face a whole lot of adversity under Boudreau, one could maybe argue the Columbus game but the Canucks were clearly the better team. Once this team has a rough patch we'll see what we've really got.

Could they make it? Yeah, but they'd need a helluva heater, some luck, to stay healthy, to win most of their divisional games, and to win at a hectic pace. Ain't likely imo.

It's crazy that a six game win streak still has us 4 points back from the playoffs... and that's with 3 and 4 games in hand respectively on Edmonton and Colorado. Just goes to show how bad those first two months really were!

Gabby said it well, "win the week".  Basically gain a couple points each month on divisional opponents and play to win each game instead of thinking about how big the mountain is to climb.
