    Regardless of whether they are ready or not, I think Juolevi and Hughes need another year to develop. There should be no rush to get them on to the team. We don't want to turn into Edmonton...

    I think Boeser still has a shot at the Calder. Sure, he's 12 points behind Barzal, but if he can catch up a bit, I think his goalscoring will keep him in the race. He's played 4 less games, and most of Barzal's points are secondary assists.

     

    I also think it's worth noting how good Charlie McAvoy has been for the Bruins. I would not be surprised in the least if he wins the Calder, but unfortunately, defensive ability is often overlooked when deciding the Calder.

    its funny how far apart most of CDC and the hockey media are on the Guddy extension. My bet is behind the scenes the Leafs wish that they hadn't tried to lowball Jim.

      I think that the bulk of the media is eastern based or trained in the east, with a bunch of Albertans thrown in. Most of them want to be picked up by eastern news services. At least we got Cheech!
