      Hopefully next season is a full season so he wouldn't miss many regular season games.  Definitely rooting for him to break the record.

      Hey @coastal.view, you're right.  I missed the lockout of '94-'95.

       

      Gretzky had 11 goals in 48 games that year, compared to 38 in 81 games the year before and 23 goals in 80 games the year after.

      I truly think though that after the Great ones record, hes going to eye 1000 goals. Now THAT would be an achievement. Doesn't matter what his point totals are or how many cups hes won, he gets 1000 goals, hes cemented himself top 5 all time
