Taking out our current best hitter in Schneider by pinch running him for Kiermaier but not pinch running anyone for Kirk?? Like are we serious right now? I’ll keep saying the 2021 Jays are gonna be one of the biggest what ifs in recent memory. Probably looking at at least an AL pennant if that team had this teams pitching and defense.

Pretty much the exact opposite result of what they intended and I’m almost certain there’s a lot more people who feel the same.

I personally feel like Silovs is ready for a backup role, but I wouldn’t be opposed to starting him in Abbotsford and calling him up if Martin starts to falter. Although I’d be just fine with Martin as a backup as that’s what he’s best suited for.

Ok so if they’re trying to hit bombs all game long and it’s costing games, that’s when managers need to tell them it’s not working and make the proper adjustments. This team has way too much offensive talent to be struggling as much as they are with runners on base.

Lack of discipline at the plate with risp all year tells me that’s all on the coaching refusing to make any adjustments.

I’d take a good long look at a guy like Roslovic if we could make the cap work. I love how Columbus’s defense looks too. If they can move one of their top four defensemen for a top six center to improve their overall depth they’d have a really solid team.

This. We all love Pete, but even the most biased Canucks fan should be able to admit Matthews is a tier or two ahead of him for the time being, even though I hate saying that myself. Petey will come in between 10.5-11 imo.

Hicks is bringing absolute GAS

I always point to the Boston game which was one of his first starts. We were ravaged by injuries/poor depth at the time going up against the best team in the NHL, and he keeps it a 2-1 game up until the final couple minutes. I also think his performance at the World Championship fast tracked his development.

This all ended up being nothing but a big ‘ole nothing burger so I’m not entirely sure why you’re still trying to push it.

Yet they seem to think the fractured room that is the Flames will get in. Yeah. OK.
