Thanks for crunching the numbers. I agree we're not in nearly as much trouble as everyone makes out. I think we will see Filip Johansson make a serious push for a RD roster spot which will help out. Cap wise that will look the same as any other bottom pairing D as he has one year of ELC remaining. I also like the extra step in Aman's game lately and think he could step up into that 3C role, maybe as soon as next year.

You have to develop your skills alongside your strength. That's why some taller players struggle with coordination when they first grow into their bodies and take longer to put it together. Going to the gym for 8 months and not playing games is a great way to ruin natural instincts when what you really want to give young developing players is time to do exactly that - play games and develop their skills at the same time they build strength.

I think Jack only stayed up because he's not waiver eligible, and will likely be the one sent down when Myers or Dermott return. One more year of seasoning can't hurt him, we don't need to rush him at LD.
