Salo/ Tanev aren't going to be sat regularly as healthy scratches... plus LOL Phaneuf - Bieksa will give Cory fits every time they're out together!

more like

Phaneuf - Weber

Hamhuis - Bieksa

Garrison - Carkner

top 4 actually looks sweet but really expensive... would this group even fit in the cap? (that's looking at ~$15M? for the 1st pairing Weber should at least get $8.5 (his qualifying offer can't be less than $7.5M b/c he's not UFA), Phaneuf's $6.5, Hammer and Juice = $9.1 for 2nd pairing, $3.75M for 3rd = $28M for D alone?)

i'd honestly just rather keep Lu if all we can get is phadouche. I don't like any of these, and I actually loathe the ottawa deal. If we trade booth for foligno or neil i'm burning seomeone's house down.

you are trading top 6 players for grinders or elite D-men for 3rd liners...doesn't make much sense. Also I get you with the idea that we need to play our prospects, Kassian will play on the 3rd line at least next season but Jensen is still very very weak and IMO it would be a huge mistake to ignore that and let him play against men.
