mrsasaki
All the papers and everything say he was not, which really makes no sense to me to have this guy play so he will become an RFA, and then let him walk as a UFA. However, Gillis himself said he was in fact qualified on the TEAM 1040. Link. Go to around 7:15. So is he qualified or not?
goalie13
Not. I guess Gillis changed his mind after that interview.

Wilbur
meh, does it really matter? Gragnani played horribly while here, there are a few guys coming up the pipe with more upside than him.
Kassian
Not qualified, hopefully making room for Schultz.
Curmudgeon
There is an unconfirmed Twitter feed from somebody (forget who) that says Gragnani's agent told Gillis that MAG would be taking the team to arbitration. Doesn't seem to make sense to me, since he has zero bargaining position. Probably just someone talking out of his nether region, but if it were true it might explain GMMG's apparent about-face. Or not.

Tortorella's Rant
I wish they gave him a chance, at least. I mean, if you didn't even want him then why the hell not get something else out of the deal?
RyanKeslord17
NO LOL!
rawkdrummer
Who cares, he played like crape. He has no upside as he's an offensive defenseman who can't play defense. Did I miss his offensive upside, was it really there?
CookieCrumbs
Not half has much as some of these people would like to believe. Just like everybody is frothing at the mouth for Schultz, when maybe 3 people on the board have actually seen him play hockey. 3 is being generous. Ossi Vaananen
In terms of contract as well as NHL talent, not qualified. Should lock.

Tortorella's Rant
2012 playoff depth? Who cares, really? He was not an important part of the deal and it's time Canucks realized that.

kmotamed
He wasn't really that bad guys, I dont know what all the complainers are talking about. He didnt really get much of a chance even. I would prefer him in the line up instead of guys like Alberts or Rome!
