[Report] Semin to Penguins

Recommended Posts

More than replace Staal's points. Basically, Pittsburgh loses Staal and gains Semin and Suter? Holy crap:

Neal - Crosby - Suter

Kunitz - Malkin - Semin

Their powerplay is automatically the best in the league:

Neal - Crosby - Semin

Letang - Malkin

Those 5 guys are likely to put up a combined 420 points over the course of the season and around 180 goals. That's about the same amount the entire LA Kings team scored last season.

if its real, i dont understand why Pitt with barely the same cap space as the canucks can sign a 40 goals scorer while we have to spend 2M + on raymond.

i dont understand why on cdc guys keep saying that they don't want semin in the canucks lineup, but scream out loud as soon as they imagine semin in pittsburgh.

so we have to stick with 3rd line bumped on the second line while others teams sign some high profils forward that we desperately needed.

41 years without a cup...

and to be honest i do think an aging Doan would be not that bad, but i choose Semin skills over Doan heart any day. we need some pure skills and beside the aging sedins we dont have any.

Semin's just a useless, heartless, floater, right?

Well, in his first 7 NHL seasons, Semin scored 34 points in 51 playoff games. Or, exactly 2 points every 3 playoff games (0.667ppg). So, that gives us a baseline for heartless floaters...

Henrik Sedin scored 30 points in 53 playoff games in his first 7 NHL seasons. Or, 0.566ppg.

Daniel Sedin scored 28 points in 53 playoff games in his first 7 NHL seasons. Or, 0.528ppg.

So, yeah, if Semin's a useless floater - explain what that means for the Sedins!...
