On to today's game, VA looked incredible in the first half, distributing the ball to his receivers, but, the running game isn't there for the fall games on the Prairies, or back East. Also the return game is non-existent, the coverage is way better since Bennie took over, but they need to find a way to tilt the field on kickoffs, and punts. Essentially Lawrence played the first quarter. Beathard played the second quarter and Rourke played the second half. Based on how early it is in the preseason schedule, it's too early to pigeonhole who is second string and who's third string. Both Lawrence and Beathard (last year's backup) manufactured a touchdown apiece in a quarter of work. Rourke manufactured two touchdowns in the second half and generally played with third stringers and had some spectacular throws and a couple of impressive runs.
