cIutch
sounds like the next zetterberg to me... but if he doesnt score 2 goals tonight hes a bust
stonecoldstevebernier
Short interview with Gordon today in Phoenix. He won back to back Calder Cups with Hershey, he's got experience winning (at the AHL level). His work ethic should be a boost to the lineup with the recent rash of injuries too. canucks8888
Darren Haydar leads the Wolves in scoring. Has he played a game in the NHL? Does he not deserve a chance to play with the big club?
Smashian Kassian
Nice, hopefully he will give us a solid game.

DeNiro
Good to see him get a chance, but this really shows how poor our prospect pool is. We don't have one forward that we've drafted other than Schroeder that can be called up?
oldnews
All this pretentious griping about how canucks = AHL/ECHL team is pathetic.

TheCammer
He's their captain, and not our property. Haydar won't be called up for those reasons.
Just Jimmy
I find it funny how a lot of posters on CDC are really wanting the AHL team to be in Abbotsford however most of you aren't even familiar with the team in Chicago now...being Canucks fans we should famliarize ourselves with our minor league talent as case in points situations like this...we seem to be having some really bad luck with injuries and thank goodness we have guys that can get that call from the Wolves and strap it on for a few games. Gordie will not disappoint, he's a decent fill in and he plays with a lot of energy.

higgyfan
Gordon was fine last night. He didn't do anything to hurt the team and seemed comfortable on the ice. He sure looked excited to be with the big club. Can't believe he's 27 -looks more like 20yrs. Hope he gets to play more games and adjust to the Canucks play. Guys got great attitude and energy. elvis15
So many people don't understand the minor league affiliations and that all the players aren't Canucks property.
Ballisticsports.
Never heard of him before. I hope he turns out to be Flash Gordon, rather than "flash in the pan" Gordon
oldnews
I love what I've seen from Gordon. Very good skater and aggressive puck hound who takes away time and space relentlessly - fulfilling his (shutdown) role very nicely imo.
