Henrik Kesler
Just for the fun of it: Sedin-Sedin-Jensen Booth-Kesler-Shinkaruk Burrows-Gaunce-Hansen Higgins-Horvat-Kassian Hamhuis-Bieksa Edler-Garrison Tanev-Ballard Luongo Erikson As much as I like that lineup, all that youth would drive coach Torts completely mad! Maybe in a couple of years though..?

EddieVedder
We have to look at championship clubs over the past few seasons, and see how well our lineup stacks up. I still think we are missing that one frontline scorer. Yes, Kassian and Jensen may very well be in the top 6 next year, but we need somoene with experience to complment the Sedns, Kelser, and Burrows... We need a Patrick Sharp type presence to round out that group... a guy you know will deliver when playoffs come around. Booth, nor Higgins are those guys. UFCanuck
Shinkaruk and Horvat didn't hide the fact that they believe they can make the team. It's going to be a fun Prospects tournament this year for sure. Gaunce vs Horvat will be fun to see, very similar players. I think one of them will get at least 5 or so games to start the season. Blue & Green
??? FORWARDS Daniel Sedin ($6.100m) / Henrik Sedin ($6.100m) / Zack Kassian ($0.870m) David Booth ($4.250m) / Ryan Kesler ($5.000m) / Alexandre Burrows ($4.500m) Chris Higgins ($2.500m) / Boyd Gordon ($1.500m) / Jannik Hansen ($1.350m) Brendan Gaunce ($1.057m) / Maxim Lapierre ($1.300m) / Dale Weise ($0.850m) Tom Sestito ($0.750m) / DEFENSEMEN Dan Hamhuis ($4.500m) / Kevin Bieksa ($4.600m) Alexander Edler ($5.000m) / Jason Garrison ($4.600m) Andrew Alberts ($1.400m) / Chris Tanev ($1.500m) Frank Corrado ($0.599m) GOALTENDERS Roberto Luongo ($5.333m) Eddie Lack ($0.750m) OTHER Buyout: Keith Ballard ($0.000m) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled with the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $64,409,444; BONUSES: $162,500 CAP SPACE (22-man roster): $53,
gizmo2337
I tried it a few different ways with forwards, but no matter how you slice it, we are in cap trouble even with Schneids and possibly Ballard off the books we are still short. The difference was, everyone was expecting Schneids in net instead of Roberto. That cap space difference really comes into play now. Assuming Tanev gets 2M, which I think is likely, someone else has to go. I'd say Booth, but he is on IR.

Our 6-8 defencemen will be competing with each other for the 6th spot, I would let Corrado and Sauve develop in the AHL a bit longer.
RyanKeslord17
I really think that David Booth should start on the fourth line and prove he's worthy of a top 6 spot. I'm sure Nicklas Jensen has been itching to be back in Vancouver since his stint, and he's gonna push for that 2nd line wing spot. Kassian needs to play with the Sedins for two reasons: He can get his confidence to an ultimate high there, and the Sedins will be "protected" by him. As for our bottom 6, Higgins and Hansen have played together long enough for us to realize they are the perfect 3rd liners, nothing more, nothing less. Brendan Gaunce, Bo Horvat and Jordan Schroeder will all battle it out for the 3C spot, which I feel Gaunce will win. My proposed lineup: D.Sedin-H.Sedin-Z.Kassian N.Jensen-R.Kesler-A.Burrows C.Higgins-B.Gaunce-J.Hansen D.Booth-M.Santorelli-B.Richardson D.Hamhuis-K.Bieksa A.Edler-C.Tanev J.Garrison-F.Corrado R.Luongo E.Lack

I see Weise and Santorelli as extra forwards, though Gaunce may just get a 9 game look before returning to the OHL and then Santorelli takes that spot at the ten games mark. Gaunce can get moved to wing, too, and Gaunce play on the right side if need be.
