TheFastOne21
Doesnt fit into the get younger plan Gillis is preaching but not a bad guy to have on the roster. Depends on what he wants and how much cap space we have.

*vInTaGe*
I'd go for it for the right price, the guy still has a great shot and definitely is not afraid to use it.
Lonny_Bohonos_14
If Booth is moved, maybe. Otherwise I don't see cap room.
406281dylan
he is good friends with higgins and lapierre, but he is very one dimensional, inconsistent and not physical
MJDDawg
Oh ffs. If we're going to retool, why would be be going after aging UFA's who are going to command higher dollars than what we can probably afford to pay. Especially another player who's not faster, bigger and grittier than any of the other second/third-line journeymen we have scattered throughout the lineup. On the other hand, with the way MG is running things, I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen. Damn this is going to be a frustrating summer. Dilly Canuck
I thought we were trying to re-invent ourselves as a bigger, younger, more physical team? If that's the direction this team wants to go then they have to start saying no to players like Ryder and look at players like Clarkson, Simmonds, Hartnell, Clowe, etc. We can't become an overly physical team overnight, but just add a piece here and there that meets the criteria and soon the identity this team wants will emerge. Pears
Ryder's scored 97 points in his last two seasons. Would love to get him for the right price.
Robongo
Where's this cap space going to come from? Not happening..
lumberman
He would certainly fit in with the plans of fixing offensive woes, that's for sure. Solid right handed, right winger. Still a 60 to 70 point guy with Dallas/MTL, maybe more if he's playing with Kesler or the Sedins.

Luongo
I suspect he'll price himself out of our range. Probably somewhere close to 4.5M, if not more. It's probably Ryder or Booth, and neither are particularly appealing.

RonMexico
Just another re-tread. He will command too much $$ for this team with it's current cap issues. It's not a given that MG is able to dump any salary either. The reboot will take more than one season that's for sure.
higgyfan
NOTE TO ALL TRADE SPECULATORS: Van has no CAP ROOM for next year. Any additions MUST include a subtraction, so I'm sure Van has interest in everyone, but who do you eliminate? Try including this type of theory to your speculative posts, makes for better discussion and reading.
mpt
Pretty strong speculation since MG strategy has now changed. I don't think Ryder is the style if player we are after anymore
Apple Juice
Wouldn't mind him.. Provide some depth scoring. And frankly, we need players who can score.
