Would Barry Melrose or Pierre Mcguire be an outside the box approach coach?

I know the consensus is to go with either Eakins, Boucher, Tippet or Ruff but Gillis has done things not so ordinary during his tenure here. I'd love to see the Canucks interview a diverse crew of coaching candidates. Melrose had huge success with the Kings and Mcguire knows his "youknowwhat" when it comes to the game of hockey. He was Pens coach way back when.

I would actually like to see a coach who isn't being talked about to assume the new role. Even someone like Ted Nolan might do this team some real good. Take us to the promise land and win the whole shebang, ya know..
