The blame does rest heavily on Gillis for saying he's going to do something and not do it, but Luongo and his (ex) agent have to carry some of the burden too. Luongo didn't have to come out and say "my contract sucks" or "it's time to move on", they didn't have to sign a 12 year deal.

The agent just sounds incredibly bitter because he got fired.

At the end Luongo was the who outplayed Schneider...And if you say no Schneider still played better, yet Lu is still here and Schneider is gone. If Gillis really wanted to move Lu he could have, or bought him out.

As his agent said in the article posted in this thread "it wasn't your contract. it was what they wanted for you. And if anything a bought could have really happened if they really wanted to keep Schneider and not Lu.

But we can keep arguing for years as fans have. It is settled, Schneider got moved, Luongo is our goalie.
