zombieksa
To Van: Joel Ward To Was: David Booth 3rd Canucks gain 1.2M in capspace, and a RW allowing for us to roll Kassian, Ward, Hansen, Weise (no particular order), while opening a LW spot for Burrows with Kesler. Contract length is the same as Booth's. Ward also is a proven playoff performer. Washington has very little LW depth, Ovechkin is better at RW and Brouwer is a natural RW, thus leaving a spot open for Booth on the 2nd line. Drouin
Actually a pretty good proposal. Switch the 3rd to a 4th or 5th and deal. I do think that Booth will prove himself this season.
CanucksFanMike
I wouldn't do it..... Booth deserves a chance to prove that he can be a quality top six forward. I believe that if he can stay healthy he can pot more than 20 goals next year.

мeтpо
I'd like Joel Ward but not at the expense of Booth and a 3rd. He's a clutch playoff performer and a Canuck killer in the playoffs.
Canada Hockey Place
Trade value wise, I don't think VAN needs to add the pick. Booth > Ward. If anything. Although fair, Ward is a bit redundant on team with Kesler, Burrows, Hansen, Higgins, Richardson. I think VAN needs a goal scorer more. Or a face-off guy with a decent short handed FO%. zombieksa
What about instead of a 3rd Canucks retain 10% of David Booths Salary making Cap Hits more even?

Canuck Surfer
Sedin/Sedin/Kassian Burrows/Kesler/Ward Much of a muchness really? I looked at it with Ward on the first and just did not think he would stack up. Ward is a more physical Chris Higgins type. IE more reliable, less upside to Booth. A solid 3rd liner more than a bonafide 2knd. Booth has 2 years left on his contract, at which time all our young prospects should be coming in to their own. Ward by memory has a longer contract. I'd keep Booth.

kanucks25
No thanks. We need a top-6 forward and Booth has a better chance of being one than Ward.

BlueLemming
If Booth ends up being no better than a 3rd liner by trade deadline, I'd do it. We'll need that cap space for next off season...
Mangoes
No I wouldn't do this deal I would keep Booth this year to prove that he can still be a top 6 forward

Carl's Jn
How many seasons are we going to say that? I hope he makes me eat my words but I'm sick of this guy getting injured.
