He's highly skilled a fair size and is finally playing where he belongs. He's solid defensively, and if used right *cough first powerplay unit* he can put up 15-20 goals easy. I made a post on it before the season started. Favourite player by far. Newsflash Posted October 6, 2013 Share Posted October 6, 2013 Loving the shoot first mentality. Makes our powerplay more lethal. He can hit the net way better than the rest of our defenseman too. I knew he had a great quick shot but his skating has surprised me lately, quick hands and quick feet. He seems a little faster this year so far. hockeyville88 Posted October 7, 2013 Share Posted October 7, 2013 I think the key is that he's finally getting a chance to step up. AV never used to put him on the PP. Now that he's getting that chance, and he's getting a chance to unleash his shot from the point, it is really generating offense from back there. The thing I like about his shot is that it's not always a cannon. He can put a soft wrister on the net and he can also unleash a lethal slapshot. Very Ehrhoff-like. Hope he can keep it up!
