Will Garrison crack team Canada's line up if he continues at this pace?

I dunno man. Canada is hyper stacked at every position except goaltending.

Doughty,Keith ,Weber , Pietrangelo, Subban Bouwmeester Phaneuf Seabrook

Maybe Hamhuis makes it.

Luongo - Western

Price - Eastern

Crawford - Western

Smith -Western

Holtby - Eastern

Yea...not stacked at all...

Quick - Western

Anderson - Eastern

Schneider - Eastern

Howard - Eastern

Miller - Eastern

I think we stack up pretty good against 'Murica in the blue paint

I think people have gotten the idea that Phaneuf is so overrated that he's actually become underrated.

He is still a legit top pair defenceman. Maybe not Team Canada material, but he deserves to be in the discussion.

As for Garrison, as others have said, he isn't a good enough skater.

First of all, the American goalies you listed are definitely better than the Canadians.

Secondly... why did you list their conferences? I am so confused.

No because Hockey Canada selects players based on how big a role they play on their NHL team, so a crap team relying on a great D man gets selection over a guy who is just as good on a stacked offense. If he were being considered, he'd be battling for a 7th spot/PP specialist given his shot and ability to play both sides. His speed is a bit of an issue but those claiming that anyone on the Canadian team except maybe Weber has a better shot is nuts. The guy winds up to his thigh and it's 100mph. No one else does that and it's a valuable weapon to have such a quick wind up and release.
