You forget that Gillis was a good player till an injury took him out before he got a real chance. He knows what it's like to be cut down as well. I don't believe for a second that it was for malicious reasons. As for 90 games? They wanted him to work it out, obviously but he didn't. He wasn't even 20% Malhotra. I liked him but he was a liability on the ice I agree I don't think it was malicious at all. I mean if they would have cut him right away because we were an elite team and he couldn't make the grade after risking an eye for us, that would have been bad. We gave him a good shot, a lot of games, and the timing was right. Your'e right he was really struggling as a player at that time. Kes just happened to come back the same day too. Like I said if you look at it like your concerned about his overall play with regards to his injury there's a lot of issues that went into the decision. I just chuckle when they try to spin it in our favor like his health was the only issue here. We're not stupid. It didn't work out, Manny didn't agree with it. We didn't look bad.
