-Vintage Canuck-
@patersonjeff #Canucks with rare visit to Washington tonight. Have played there once since 2008 -- a 4-2 win in January 2011 #NHL @patersonjeff Ovechkin leads #NHL with 18 PPG. #Canucks will have a total of 17 PPG in their line-up tonight

-Vintage Canuck-
@patersonjeff It's all in the sell: Burrows leads #Canucks with 2 goals in month of March @patersonjeff Caps have 56 PPG. #Canucks have 31. Yet both teams have 30 wins and 70 points. #differentpathstomediocrity
KJM90
Anyone know if the new guy we just signed Mike Zalewski will be playing tn? It said he's joining the canucks for the road trip. Also I predict Kassian and Jensen will have good chemistry if they ever get on a line together (Kass Schroeder Jensen please) I would love to see that line play together
MJDDawg
The Canucks team bus broke down today on the way to the Verizon Centre for the game tonight. Players had to flag down individual cabs. Can there be any better symbolism for how this season has gone for this team?
Dogbyte
Well, the draft pick thread had me hoping for a string of losses but last game has rejuvenated me. I wasn't planning on watching it all but it was very entertaining and we're still in the thick of it, although those games in hand are daunting. I can't help it we finally got playoff weather in Calgary here and I love playoffs, even if it's only 4 games. GO NUCKS !!!
Tortorella's Rant
Match lines. Maybe Burrows and Henrik can burn the Ovechkin line since he never crosses his own blue line. 5 on 4 down low all game. GG

BeefcakeBo
- Ovechkin averages 20:49 minutes a game. (Kesler: 22:08 / Daniel 21:14 / Henrik 21:04) - Ovechkin's ice time is only inflated on the PP he averages 5:09 a game. #2 is Malkin at 4:20. The team is a -9 sitting 3 points out of a playoff spot. Ovechkin is over a PPG. Even if the defense is poor that is still unreal to have a -27 with all those factors. I am also speaking from just watching him this season and years past as a fan of one of his rival teams. Ovechkin doesn't help the defense or his goalie at all and if anything helps give up high scoring chances. Some Caps fans themselves will even joke and say he doesn't play bad defense he just doesn't play defense. SKIP TO 0:43 IN THE VIDEO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUX55aFf4TI Extreme example of course but that is the way AO is prone to being on defense. Lazy and just doesn't bother. If I was confident about anything in hockey it's that AO is as bad defensively as he is good offensively. I'm Not sure if you noticed, but I never said he was good defensively, I just said the -27 stat was overblown. He isn't good at defense, and he isn't in the league because of defence. The guy is here because he can score. He has 1 less this year than Henrik, Daniel, and Kesler combined. We desperately could use a player like Ovechkin on this team.
