Because Seattle had 1 time out left. Throw on 2nd and goal they thought worst case scenario was incomplete. Then you can run 3rd down call a time out if you don't get it.

Yeah, I don't necessarily disagree with misdirection in that context - just didn't work out.  Sh!t happens.  You just hope it's not on the goal-line of a Super Bowl victory lol.

The bat flip is not part of the game. Complete and utter lack of respect for the opponent and the game. The Baseball gods responded with kc beating Toronto. Justice was served

Do you not understand the level of circumstances in that game? Bautista's not the only one that's flipped the bat before just so you know.

I'm just stating what I know to be true. Would Derek Jeter ever do that? Griffey? How about the Babe or Lou?

Lol, you mean Griffey who would stand in the batter's box for like 10 seconds, admiring his homerun every time he hit one or Ruth, who pointed to center field and called the shot even before the pitcher, pitched to him.

Big Papi is noted for his bat flips and as any long time Yankee fan will tell you, the baseball gods were on his side in 2004.

Besides that, is there a cockier team in baseball than the Royals? If there is, I haven't seen them.

My blood just about literally boils watching this, mostly cause it's coming from the guy who didn't get a single AB all playoffs.
