yeah,,Barney is a big surprise this year..probably the biggest for a waiver pickup...plus he will be able to play in the playoffs if the Jays get that far,,not like last year....Bats is back on Monday...I guess we will see some shuffling then....and Goins and Colobello around the corner.....trade deadline in less than 2 weeks I can definitely see some moves with the crowded house.

Barney has been insane, the way he's playing, he's proving to be an everyday player again. Something has to happen..... and time is slowly running out. If Goins isn't traded, because I don't see Tulo going anywhere, so I don't see a roster spot for him on the Jays, Goins may have to go down to triple A.

I think its time they gave up on this experiment.

Disagree. I think he'll get it back together sooner or later. Meanwhile, games like today's are the perfect opportunity for him to get game action, while he tries to get the feel for his pitches back.

Imo he's better than loup and there's not many lefty relievers, his off speed stuff is dirty but he seems to battle control. I really hope he finds it in time if we are to make a run at/make the playoffs.

I will agree that he is better than Loup...and I have seen him pitch well..such as his all star year..but the last while he always get lit up...maybe there is a leftie in the cards before deadline...speaking of Loup..what happened to him..he came back pitched a few innings and gone?//

I remember Cecil's being lights out his first few games back from his injury, I hope he can come back to that state, his Curveballs and control were really good. I also recall him saying that his curveball is better than its (ever?) Been and that hitters should watch out. I hope he gets back on the right path and helps us on route the the playoffs.

I'm not really sure, he's still part of the 25 man roster. Just don't want him to blow games I guess lol. I was just looking at some neat things.

1) Blue Jays have 9.4 million in retained salaries... Amongst them is Romero, Izturis & Delabar being the most popular names.

2)  Blue Jays have 29Million on the DL, mostly due to Bautista and Estrada.

3) Jays are sitting at 13th in the mlb for total payroll at 148.4 million.

4) Yankees have 4 players coming off the books after this year whose total salaries combined is 64 million( Sabathia, Texiera, Beltran and Chapman) an additional 21m off the books the following year when A-Roid is gone. Expect them to "reload" as they buy talent again this next offseason.

edit;

5) LA Dodgers have 82 million on the DL right now:blink:

I don't know if it's him but I heard someone is dealing with Achilles issues... If it was him, maybe he needed  a day or two of rest.

 Usually personal issues are kept quite quiet, hopefully it's nothing to bad.

I think it is Carrera with the achilles issue.
