Reinstalling a Mac OS is going to be as easy as I think it is... right?

(guess this isn't really a pc gaming question)

As long as your not installing an older operating system then your good. I hate Yosemite and it was a mission to get Mavericks back. The one thing I hate about Macs is that changing the operating system completely screws up third party applications not downloaded in the app store.

No doubt. The only thing that Macs are good for is multimedia/video editing.

Pretty much. Mac is my primary computer and its because of those types of programs. I'm also a fan of the file management and customizability on the Mac.

You take gaming too seriously if that gets under your skin.

I only learned about the whole PC Master Race/Console Peasant thing a few weeks ago, so I'm still laughing my butt off reading and old and new posts and videos. It looks like it died down quite a bit once the newer more graphically intense games started to get nerfed on the consoles. It's akin to being a leafs fan, you pay top dollar for a very mediocre product. Poor console peasants... :(

It been going on for years, and that's why it even bothers me to extent that it does. It's just another form of console war fanboyism. It's reminiscent of the Super Nintendo vs Genesis days. It's all light hearted obviously, in that it's just about video games, but it can still be bothersome, as if you're into gaming, you'll hear it all over the place. There are some people that feel the need to flex it in a non-sarcastically superior way. Sometimes they're not even used comically at all.

I don't take any of it too seriously myself, but some people that speak it do. Like I said I'm a PC gamer so they're not even speaking to me, but I can still sense that condescension in a lot of those posts.

what makes the PC crowd MORE offensive to me is how these ignorant, offensive, racist morons _ARE_ adults. hearing a kid say "ur mom!" is just whatever to me. hearing an adult Dota player start talking endless trash to a teammate because he's mexican or south american, or whatever, is legitimately troubling. how can a grown ass person talk to others like that?

Agreed. Childish children are easier to accept than childish adults.

Immaturity and cowardly. Because you don't actually have to confront someone to their face. Used to see it all the time. Not gaming but in general. Someone would talk smack about someone else online but running into them at a party or elsewhere they wouldn't dare look in their direction. Everyone's a big tough guy until you confront them then you find out how tough they really are.

You must have visited many BBS message boards if you're reaching back to the 16-bit console wars. Either that or the kids that you went to school with were pretty intense about their gaming.

Don't forget the Turbografx-16! ::D

The first BBS forum I joined was Compuserve back in like 1994 well before AOL bought them (was also a member of the short lived "Arcadium" back around '96 -- I still remember using the high school payphones to call this milf from Arcadium collect and fool around). There was little fanboyism on the internet really until the PS2 / Xbox came along.

What makes PC superior is sales. Oh god, those sales.

What makes the PC superior is that Sony and Micro$oft are skimping big on the hardware components which in turn forces game companies to make what amounts to an inferior product for the consoles just so both companies can save a few dollars per machine.

Even though Compuserve/Prodigy/AOL/etc aren't technically BBS' I remember having to buy that Compuserve book/binder thing that came with a disk in order to join...lol Then I tried Prodigy afterwards and lastly AOL.

BBS' were/are people's home computers set up with usually just one, two, or three modem lines running into a single computer running basic software (Usually Wildcat's BBS software) that people would communicate, upload/download pics, and play simple games on.

I remember saving up my money back then so I could buy a couple of U.S. Robotics external modems and a multi-license version of Wildcat and another computer to run my own BBS. Then this new popular thing called "The Internet" came out and dashed all of my BBS running hopes and dreams.... lol

Okay so I obviously wasn't around for the first incarnation of "BBS". That must have been around the time when Newsgroups/Usenet were the thing.. way before my time. I remember the US Robotics thing because my mother worked in the 3Com NOC in Santa Clara (from her office you could literally see the Drop Zone and the chunk of Great America) when USR moved over to 3Com. By the time the first Pentium CPU computers came around, I was still younger than the legal age of working, but I worked under the table for a place called Postnet (like Kinkos/UPS store), who charged $10/hr for 56k access. I did graphics design for them using Corel and I was paid in cash, food, and free internet access so I could play MUDs and browse porn.

It's really bad in CSGO.

I'm a CEVO pug moderator, and I deal with kick disputes, and we have racism/sexism fall under our unsportsmanlike conduct category, and some of the things these people say are brutal. Most of them being early to mid 20's (And sounding totally socially awkward because nobody would actually have the balls to say it face to face against the people they are harassing) and it's brutal.

Even in friendly 'matchmaking' 1 out of 2 matches you play, somebody in the other 5 talks trash the entire time and it always makes it's way to personal/racist comments.

Since we are on the topic of CEVO, I put together a CEVO-A team for Season 8, if anyone is LEM+ with recent CEVO or ESEA CSGO league experience, we are looking to load up with another solid fragger, we are a fun laid back team!

Well those were all elementary/middle school playground arguments when it came to those consoles. These internet debates about gaming platforms tend to be no less childish, lol.

And no one had the Turbografx-16 either. I can't think of anyone I knew personally that did at least. Though I want one to add to my collection.

Was it only five factions? Oh well. For vanilla or Darthmod? Anyways, I love using the revolutionary infantry. THEY ARE BAREFOOT

Yooooooo.

Is there a most recent (4.1) blood mod for this available? I notice it wasn't included in Darthmod like it was for Empire. It's not available on Steam or the TW center webpage anymore.

Err. Apparently it is in Darth Mod under "Darth Effects", but I've seen artillery rip through lines and nothing.
