ShakyWalton
Nice hire but where does that leave Gully with Lidster on board?
YEGCanuck
Another good hire for the team. Solid coaching will only help to develop the boys and a winning culture.

theminister
Crowded bench. I guess Gully is moving to a desk.
Tearloch7
I could see Glen G. focus on ensuring the Canucks and Comets are playing to the same 'system' .. act as the liason between the two staffs, and work with our young guys no matter where they are playing .. he can personally 'mentor' guys like Kass and Jensen and Corrado etc .. reports were that he made a difference with Kass last year .. turn him loose on "Special Development" .. works for me. Pearn is another 'steady hand' behind the bench.
King Heffy
Anyone know what he specializes in? Hopefully he's a PP guy.
TOMapleLaughs
Pearn has been the power play guy on previous teams. Winnipeg's was only slighty better than ours last season. Canuck tie-in: Yannick Weber
PhillipBlunt
Another move in a new and positive direction. Excellent

Jock Cousteau
http://www.theprovince.com/sports/Kuzma+Willie+Canucks+Pearn/9952421/story.html Kuzma called it two months ago... Throw enough @@@@ at the wall I suppose.
TOMapleLaughs
Maybe Evander Kane's coming with him. (Just keep the 1st rounder. Pleeeease. Please Jeebus.)
GreyHatnDart
Winnipeg also doesn't have the skill that we do. Ladd, Wheeler, Kane, Buff, Bogosian....looks like a pretty solid 1PP to me. Granted their 2nd looks pretty week.
Honeydew
Another former Medicine Hat Tigers coach! Wonder what he'll bring to our PP hopefully revitalize it
Robongo
Wow was not expecting that at all. Nice to hear that he's a PP guy, maybe they didn't like the balance we had with Glen. Wonder why they waited so long to do this? Makes it pretty difficult for him to go out and find another coaching job this late in the summer, as that's probably where his heart is. Interesting development.
MJDDawg
Can we just change our jersey's already!!! We just need to figure out how to morph the Orca into this...

Interesting development. There's no maximum amount of coaches. Nothing is preventing Benning and Desjardins from bringing in more coaches, increasing the level of specialization for each. jono2009
Per Ben Kuzma's article, Benning has stated Gully will be reatined to look after the powerplay. http://blogs.theprovince.com/2014/08/11/pearn-makes-perfect-connect-the-dots-assistant-coach-logic-for-canucks/
