Unfortunately, however, defenseman Torey Krug is expected to miss two to three weeks after breaking his finger in Bostons 4-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild Tuesday night. The Bruins are already without Zdeno Chara for several weeks as he works to rehab a ligament tear in his knee. Kevan Miller has also been sidelined with an upper-body injury, so things are pretty thin on the back end. Krugs loss only hampers an already shallow position for the Bruins. Its worse now that Krug has taken on some bigger minutes this season and has rewarded the team with some solid production to start the year. The 23-year-old defenseman already has six points through the first 11 games this season. Boston already has recalled defensemen David Warsofsky and Joe Morrow from the American Hockey League. Krug and Chara being out only puts more pressure on Dougie Hamilton and Dennis Seidenberg, who should each see minutes increase further. Meanwhile, the Bruins are mired in a 5-6-0 start and cant seem to find any level of consistency this year. Losing players on the blue line is that much tougher in the wake of the Bruins dealing Johnny Boychuk to the New York Islanders for some salary cap alleviation. It was a move that probably had to be made, but its left Boston in an awful position when it comes to roster flexibility as they're finding out in the most brutal of fashions. Injury bug hitting the Bruins hard. Best 2 defenders out, Boychuk trade coming back full circle and may haunt them. Wish Krug a healthy recovery. ***WARNING: gruesome image. RonMexico
Boston has a really deep team though. This Seth Griffith guy they called up is lighting it up on the top line with Krejci and Lucic. I can only hope Benning is building the Canucks like this.

Mike Vanderhoek
Good opportunity for Morrow to get some NHL action, maybe not the worst thing that could happen, besides last season injuries and a " lack of depth " on the blueline led to the team giving players like Kevan Miller a chance. TheRussianRocket.
@ToreyKrug: Thanks for all the well wishes. Nothing a manicure can't fix! ...what a hockey player, tough as nails! Joking around with what happened, as ugly as it was, wow. Check his Twitter out and he even retweeted Reilly Smith who poked fun as well Hockey players, just in a class of their own. Swedish elite3
All he needed to do was put a piece of paper in there and cut some more.... All joking aside, nasty little injury at least the tip never was cut off, glad he can joke about it though quite the story for his kids one day haha
Apple Juice
Took a gamble on placing a bet on the Sabres winning tonight... With this, hopefully it comes true with Chara and now Krug out for awhile But of course it's the Buffalo Sabres
