MusclePharm
Meh, klingberg has been good im the ahl but stempniak can help them now. Jets doing what they can to ensure a playoff birth. Everytime i hear about stempniak i get reminded of the leafs trading steen and colaiacovo for him.
apollo
I guess nyr wanted some youth back after the yandle deal?
Hobble
Veteran depth never hurts. Not very familiar with him, I assume he isn't very physical, but has scored some goals? Hopefully adds some offense to the 4th.

bigbadcanucks
why..? Why not? Two teams with different needs. Jets need streaky scoring that Stempniak provides and someone who can possibly help them now vs. NYR probably wants a relatively young player with power forward potential to complement their speedy forwards in Zucarello (if they can re-sign him), Hagelin, St. Louis. Otis
Lmao if jets don't make the playoffs why ? they traded a guy who won't be more than a AHL scorer/emergency callup for a decent bottom-6 player.. no lose for them lol

Otis
He's 24 and is playing really well in the ahl 30 points in 50GP in the AHL is quite average.. he's a good AHL'er... likely wont ever make an NHL impact.
Hobble
He had never really shown enough to stick on the Jets line up, was only a serviceable call up. Not losing any sleep over losing Klinger, while Stempniak will hopefully provide us with some depth on the 4th line.
Baer.
As small as this trade may be, it makes sense for both teams, and I like it. Year after year, bottom 6 depth has proven to be a factor in succeeding in the playoffs. The Jets are low on bottom 6 depth, and Stepniak adds some experience and maturaty to a somewhat younger roster. On the other hand, the Rangers get rid of a spare contract while also getting younger. I still think Klingberg has the tools to be a bottom six forward if he learns how to be that energy guy, like our own Dorsett. All in all, a good hockey trade.
