Baer.
Lack + Bieksa is now legitimately not far off the 9th pick from SJ. Wrong. Canucks offered Markstrom, Bieksa and the 23rd pick for the 9th pick and it was declined.
Spoosh
Very good move for both team in my opinion. Buffalo aint ready yet.
elchupacabra
Wrong. Canucks offered Markstrom, Bieksa and the 23rd pick for the 9th pick and it was declined. How do we know it was declined? I haven't seen a report stating what was offered and what wasn't, it's all just rumors at this time.
Maniwaki Canuck
So does Legwand have negative value in this deal? It's a fair question, but if so then Lehner would be worth somewhere around a 15th overall, which is more than I would have thought ...

We don't know exactly what was offered but it certainly looks like something has been accepted if Bieksa has agreed to a trade on the understanding that he will be re-signed. Maniwaki Canuck
Just announced on 630 ched edmonton will not be giving up 16 th for a goalie. Interesting, because the implication of the Lehner deal is that the 16th is about market value for Talbot. Ottawa may have been the early bird that got the worm here. saucypass
At least Lack is a proven starter. Whether he will be a good one is yet to be known.
elchupacabra
Expect OTT to try to package the 18th and 21st picks in tonight's draft to move up and pick earlier in the first round. #TSN Draft is getting real interesting.

Carl's Jn
Yeah, that's decent value from Ottawa's point of view, but an important destination for Lack may now be off the table. Can't see them spending the 21st and 31st picks on goaltenders, but who knows. this is what benning called the domino effect.... one goalie off.. now talbot needs to go and soon the teams that didn't get talbot will be pushing for lack.. well maybe accept calgary.. Carl's Jn
Good and bad at the same time. Good because of the value they got with a cap dump, bad because that was one of the very few serious suitors for him. there are others

iinatcc
Always be closing. Im not sure if this is good or bad news in terms of getting good value for Lack. Leaning towards bad tho. Lehner + Legwand is kind of like Vancouver's Lack + Bieksa. If Edmonton does not nab Talbot 16th overall for Lack + Bieksa + <insert something> could be possible. So it could be good. This also puts Markstrom's value up does it not? Imagine if Bening can get Arizona's 32nd for Markstrom
