Not official yet. Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger With Lehner to Buffalo, things heat up on Talbot. Oilers and Sharks still keen. Calgary also revisiting Talbot trade this morning. Bruce Garrioch @SunGarrioch #Sens are closing in on a deal for Lehner with the Sabres. Expect a No. 1 pick to be part of the trade and perhaps David Legwand. Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie BUF-OTT trade call done. Official: Lehner and Legwand for 21st overall pick. cdubuya
Always be closing. Im not sure if this is good or bad news in terms of getting good value for Lack. Leaning towards bad tho.
Fozzy
Hmm... Hope this doesn't mean teams think they will get Lack for scraps.

Hedman
Always be closing. Im not sure if this is good or bad news in terms of getting good value for Lack. Leaning towards bad tho. While Lehner is younger than Lack, he didn't really have a great season. Lehner could be a good one, but overpayment by Buffalo IMO. He's not worth the 21st overall after the season he had this year. Maniwaki Canuck
Always be closing. Im not sure if this is good or bad news in terms of getting good value for Lack. Leaning towards bad tho. Yeah, that's decent value from Ottawa's point of view, but an important destination for Lack may now be off the table. Can't see them spending the 21st and 31st picks on goaltenders, but who knows. MJDDawg
WTF? Really? How is Lehner and Legwand worth the 21st overall in this draft? Looks like Tim helping out Uncle Brian.

NYR imo just trying to make up for the fleecing they got in the Callahan/st louis deal.

I can't see it hurting his value too bad. They're going to get a pretty good player at 21. Legwand seems more like a cap dump then anything. 34 year old making 3.5 for 29 points. Still a decent player but no where near where he was in his prime.
laxgoalie
I wonder if Bieksa and Lack will be packaged to SJS now?
Guest
Poor David Legwand. Closing in on 1,000 GP for one franchise, now on his fourth team in two seasons. For Buffalo, they get a good goalie, plus an expensive 3LC to help them over the minimum salary threshold. I'd say fair deal all told.
Strombone1
i'm not sure this helps canucks get a better return. BUF was supposed to be dealing for Lack, not Lehner.
