(signing) Adam Clendening

I think Corrado is going to get the upper hand. He seems more poised with the puck and has better gap control/foot speed

Corrado is the better athlete, Clendenning who does lack a bit in speed has more skills. With the puck anyway.

Both have promise...

I don't expect either to be stud NHL players, but do believe they will have decent careers. And I'm ok with that!

2 way doesn't really helpus as he'd never make it down through waivers.

Want to see:

Edler-Tanev

Hamhuis-Corrado

Sbisa/Bartkowski-Clendening

Don't forget about Weber

i have no idea on how this all works. Can he be sent down now without waiver worry?

No. His 2 way deal just means he has an AHL salary and and a NHL salary. He is still waiver eligible.

For skaters, players are exempt for:

  • signed at 18: exempt for 5 years after signing or 160 NHL games
  • signed at 19: exempt for 4 years or 160 NHL games
  • signed at 20: exempt for 3 years or 160 NHL games
  • signed at 21: exempt for 3 years or 80 NHL games
  • signed at 22: exempt for 3 years or 70 NHL games
  • signed at 23: exempt for 3 years or 60 NHL games
  • signed at 24: exempt for 2 years or 60 NHL games
  • signed at 25 or older: exempt for 1 year regardless of games played

The nice thing about Weber that people often forget is he can play forward. If we are carrying 8 D we might use weber as a forward with injuries.

Clendening is the Benning guy though, big time advantage if you look at the Sbisa/Vey situations.

It's not always strictly about merit, politics comes into it as well.
