Yeah, Nikola is like visiting a casino,.

You can make money, you know people that made money but in all likelihood you will lose your ass.

I know you're not personally invested in Nikola....but in your opinion, why would someone put money into Nikola and not just invest into GM instead?  Doesn't GM have the higher potential for growth from that deal?

Right now with it being so high today my guess is that the shorts are covering their positions.

Personally I got burned on lot of these ipos so I am staying a mile away.

I like to invest into things that I understand and use myself.

Do you think it is the Trump news that has markets down today? I mean they were due for a bit of a pullback so it may be coincidence

I was up when it was announced he contracted the corona. The down swing is entirely because of this. The Dow imploded 450 within 20 minutes, but did recover to 350 by the time I went to bed.

Currently only holding 2 stocks.

NNDM 3000 @ $2.22

PLTR 1000 @ $9.06

Would love to see what people are holding, not just good, bad as well. What's your goals ?

NNDM because Cathie at ARK started heavily investing ( I don't know why but I follow Cathie).

PLTR because the dip was too good. It launched at $10.29 and these guys have so many GOV contracts and keep getting more. They're the company that tracked down Osama Bin Laden with their counterterrorism program called Gotham.

I'm not in it for quick buck, too scared lol but my top 10, with my current average price, where I currently sit and % of portfolio.

SHOP $585  +134% (15% of portfolio)

TTD $293  +89% (10.5%)

SQ $85   +98% (9.9%)

BNS $72   -22% (6.6%)

WELL.CA $2.88  +142% (6.5%)

FSLY $86  +10% (5.6%)

CRWD $94  +48% (5.5%)

SE $135   +15% (5%)

PBW $42   +47% (5%)

RY $107   -12% (4.9%)

My two worst by far are the 'safe' bank stocks I'm too stubborn to sell. At least they pay dividends?

Quickest way buck so far was making several thousand on NKLA, selling at +85%.

Quickest way to lose a buck so far was MARK losing several thousand at - 75% lol.

All in all I only started investing in late February which was terrible timing and I'm still up 28% on the year so I'll take that!

I'm eyeing Tesla (<375), palantir and snowflake (<200) but waiting on an overall market pull back before I buy, there is also share dilution coming in december for snowflake. Other than that, I have apple at 109, a bunch of canadian banks that are up around 10%, Shell avg price around 29 (if it hits 20 I'll average down).

Should the market really dip (15-20%) I'll be loading up on VEQT or VGRO (vanguard capital growth funds)

I cashed out about a month ago to take a break. Got back in last week with a smaller position in SBE (chargepoint SPAC). Reasoning is I rly like the EV sector going forward, but rather than go in on a specific company as I feel many are overpriced atm, look for something they all use in the chargers. I like Chargepoint as they already have many charging sites with proven technology, have been around a long time, and are looking to rapidly expand. They have 115,000 sites worldwide, but have the goal of 2.5M by 2025. Short term plan is just as a swing until merger (estimated in Q4).
