Bad giveaway by Sbisa, but overall the Canucks' defense was solid, allowing the Flames very little. It's a little naive to think that players aren't going to make the odd mistake. The trick is to limit them and the Canucks did just that. Meanwhile, they made what the SNET analysts were calling "the best defense in the league" look pretty porous. Considering the reality of where the Canucks are in the rebuild and the amount of youth in the lineup, this game should be looked at as a near perfect road game and there should be nothing to complain about. Unfortunately Sbisa had no play and was surrounded by 2 Calgary players because Hutton made a poor pinch. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He was definitely put into a tough spot. But this is CDC, where the whipping boys are watched far more closely than other players, just so their detractors can claim to be "right" about them... On the bright side, we won the game and only let in one goal. Let's focus on the 29 saves that he made. Thank you, yours is the voice of reason! Miller was solid last night.
