Reinhart was expected to be our 23rd roster player but to make the trade work, he had to be included so we wish him and Del Zotto the best moving forward. As for Matheson, we are excited to see what the young dman can bring to the blueline. A 20 point season (near half the production of MDZ) is something we'd gladly take considering the cap space that was freed up. ...as for the Red Wings last remaining roster spot, we're confident one of our Griffins youngsters can take advantage come training camp and fill it in. A handful of those players are ready to transition into NHLers so we hope they realize the opportunity at hand and make the most of it. We feel that we have made our team so that we can now contend over the season. Our goal is to make playoffs and with this team I believe that we have a shot to do just that. Although we have put a dent in to our prospect pool, We are very happy going forward with out young guys that remain as well as the Veteran core that we have to surround them. Although we may not be finished yet with tinkering, We are very pleased with what the outcome has been. We have a great 1, 2 punch in the net, A D core that wont be pushed around, and a mix of talent and grit on the front end. Our farm team in Lehigh Valley is shaping up to be a very skilled team as well with some of our younger guys who will one day most certainly get a shot with the big club. We are also very pleased to announce, that Tyler Seguin has been named Captain, with Paul Martin, Alexander Barkov and Brandon Sutter as alternates. Cant wait to get on to the ice.
