Of course Gagner is on waivers lol. Please be picked up by a good team... My projected depth was not even close to reality.

Pretty wishful thinking that he gets picked up by a good team hahah... at best you can hope Jim trades him with %25-50 cap retained to a good team. That I could see happening.

Ganger 50% retain to Columbus for 2019 2nd? So paying 1.5 million x 2 for a 2nd rounder... flex those real estate gains Aquaman!

lol ...mcelhinney on the waivers . all in all he was better than sparks during the pre-season ...well ...the last game wasnt fine

Wouldn't be mad if we picked him up and traded Marky for something of value... maybe another 2nd?

Then flip these 2 seconds + Gaunce or someone for Duchene? Duchene would be licking his chops to have an opportunity to play with Elias

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Tomorrow at 7PM(PST) all players who are waiver eligible and are in the minors will be placed on waivers again. If you have any players that you do not want to pass through waivers again, please recall them to your NHL team.

How can we tell in Fantrax who’s waiver eligible and who’s not?

Skaters are eligible for waivers if they are at least 27 years old, or have played 150 games in the NHL. This will be reduced to 125 games for the 2019/20 season.

Goalies are eligible for waivers if they are at least 27 years old, or have played 80 games in the NHL.

League Rule Update:

Effective immediately, UFAs will be able to be signed at any age, provided that 1) they have gone undrafted through two entry drafts, and 2) the time of their signing complies with the rest of the existing rules surrounding free agency, such as the Trade Deadline to July 1 UFA signing freeze, et cetera. This will apply to both North American and European+ Skaters. This means that you will be able to sign 18-year-olds, as long as they've gone through the draft once as a 17-year-old and again as an 18-year old.

This rule will be available in the OP immediately.

Is the NCAA signing freeze still in place during the season?

Go onto the player page on the fantrax site it should tell you how old they are. I will be going through team pages and looking over the players also.

In the minors;

Filip Berglund, Lucas Carlsson, Mackoy Erkamps, Matt Finn, Chad Khrys, Oliver Kylington, Gustav Olofsson, Tarmo Reunanen, Travis Sanheim, Matt Finn

Tristan Jarry

Unsigned Prospects;

Callum Booth, Filip Westerlund, Jakub Galvas, Martin Ferhervary, Axel Andersson, Linus Olund, Isac Lunderstrom, Jakub Lauko, Rikard Hugg, Kristof Hrabik

 No work to be done for the admin; the roster is cap & rule complaint @thejazz97, @Master Mind @Jaku @Salter

Plenty of work for yours truly the GM!

We are thrilled with our forward group. The top 6 should terrorize teams, and has depth where it does not have an MVP candidate. Be nice if Nylander signed in real life? We also love our bottom 6, our forward depth & forward prospect depth. Excited to be debuting Henrik Borgstrom, returning Robbi Fabbri. Getting a full year from Leon Draisaitl! We have a couple of prospects who have earned contracts we have to attend to before first puck drop. We need room for Joel Eriksson Ek?

We are worried about the defence and goaltending starting line up. We have the players? We need injuries, or a trade to free up cap space to get a couple of key players into the line up. Specifically Travis Sanheim, forward Eriksson Ek & Tristan Jarry. The cap flexibility to call up Oliver Kylington. Injuries happen, space will open & get them in? The D is a bit young as well. Hanifin is a wildcard, but a talented one. The season may hinge on how well Valimaki, Kylington, Gustav Forsling & Sanheim perform?

Boston is very open to a cap clearing trade of a top 9 forward. For D or for futures which clear cap.

And we wish every one luck for the season, our appreciation to the exec crew for their work this off season!

I should have said barring Corey Perry busting his knee.

Boston's opening line up does move around a bit considering. That and one or two camp surprises;

Evander Kane Leon Draisaitl Alex Radulov

Brandon Saad Mika Zibanejad William Nylander

Joel Eriksson Ek Isaac Lundestrom Devin Shore

Jordan Martinook Mark Jankowski Nic Dowd

Noah Hanifin Alex Pietrangelo

Calvin De Haan Brady Skjei

Juuso Valimaki Travis Sanheim

Tuukka Rask

Tristan Jarry

Extra's > Robbi Fabbri, Ben Harpur, Rob O'Gara

IR > Gustav Forsling, Corey Perry, Gustav Olofsson

Has Nylander been signed in real life yet?   Love that Lundestrom seems to have mad the opening roster! We'll see how that goes...

Its great when you can pull one out of yer arse. Helps make up for the other stuff?

Nylander has not been signed and will likely sit on the shelf for the start of the season. You should trade him to me for one of my top 6  :ph34r:

Columbus Blue Jackets - Preseason Report

It was a bit disappointing to see Daniel Brickley, Michael Amadio, Devon Toews, Denis Gurianov, Emil Pettersson, Matt Luff, and Matt Read all end up getting cut at camp. But on the other hand, almost all of them were among the last cuts, and had strong preseasons. We expect most of them will still get opportunities to play this season.

But the big surprise so far has been Rourke Chartier, who looks to have secured the 4th line center spot in San Jose. There were times last season when it looked like Chartier's career was in jeopardy, as he struggled with concussion issues. But he looks to have fully recovered, and not lost a step in his development. David Rittich winning the back-up role in Calgary again was not as much of a surprise, but was still a definite positive.

It is also reassuring to get through the preseason healthy. Brian Dumoulin may not be ready to start the season, but other than that, everyone is ready to go. Bring on the regular season!
