You need to think why before making criticisms. Okay, they were possibly complacent because they had the lead, or Green might have told them to protect the lead in the third. Neither are acceptable to me. We had enough energy to match them and not let them back in the game. It's not like the Devils game was high flying hockey. Sorry not buying it. I don't care how many of you dog pile on.

But being critical because they "stopped skating" without considering why is a bit unfair, that's all. No one's freaking out and we did win the game. The third was ugly but being critical of a team is one thing...being unrealistic in what they can do, physically and under the circumstances, is another. It's ok to be critical. I'm being critical of your assessment of things...because there are reasons they stopped skating. Their legs were jelly at that point and they gave it what they could. Context is important when being critical. 1 2 4

Extreme disappointment would be more like it. After playing the best hockey they have all season for the first two periods. But facts don't change if the lose. It caught up to them in the third, plus i'm sure Rangers were read the riot act between 2nd and 3rd. They had been embarrassed in their own barn for two periods by a team playing a second game in two mornings. 2

They were good early on but you can't expect your team to hold any sort of offensive pressure if your grinders are getting all the minutes in the third. I thought they were coming on because they were the only ones that could switch momentum into our favor for a minute. The Petty line got bottled pretty badly in the third. 1

I don't care how many of you dog pile on. If you don't know how much energy is exerted on a back to back game then nobody can help you. They didn't have enough energy in the third. That's why they played that way. Do you think that Green wants the canucks to play that way in the third, when even he says the first 2 periods were the best he's seen his team play since he's been coach. I think you're one of those people who will never be satisfied with anything unless they play perfectly (which no team ever does). There's always gonna be a complaint about something. 1 1 1
